Amelia's POV:

"Mine.."

As soon as the words left Drew's lips, everything inside of me felt like I was floating. There was even a moment where I closed my eyes, replaying that very moment, over and over, again. I was a tingling mess! I couldn't stand still, and I was practically bouncing in happiness. Then I noticed he was about to break the desk he was gripping onto for dear life.

"Drew?" I asked, my voice laced with worry. "Are you okay??"

There were so many emotions playing on him. His body gave the impression he was holding himself back, his eyes were filled with this sort of longing, and teeth were gritted together as if he were in pain.

Without even thinking before I acted, I rushed to his side, crouching down next to him, rubbing soothing circles on his forearm. His eyes closed, as if he was relaxing at my touch, but his grip on the desk only tightened. Finally, he spoke for the first time in the longest 5 minutes of my life. "Amelia.." Just like that, a shiver shot up my spine. He turned to look at me, and I noticed something strange. The crimson eyes replaced his warm chocolate ones.

I stood up, taking a step back. Something inside me surfaced, and an unfamiliar voice rang through. "Mine!" She growled. I felt a sharp pain shoot through my bones, followed by what felt like hundreds more. I cried out in pain, falling to the floor. Drew threw himself from his desk, and was holding me in his arms protectively. "Make it stop.." I cried, but he only pained when he heard this. "Amelia, I can't.. Your wolf is shifting for the first time. There is no stopping the process once it has begun." Then he lifted me up bridal style, and began towards the door. "I need to take you outside.." It was more to himself than to me.

It had been seconds before we were standing in the clearing. There was no one around but the two of us. He set me on the ground, then took a step back, but not leaving me entirely alone. The pain only lasted 15 minutes, but it felt like an eternity. Finally, I felt a warmth wash over me.

The next thing I know, I have paws, I'm on all fours, and my fur is white. I look over to where Drew was standing, but instead, I saw a wolf with dark brown fur, almost black. His crimson eyes were glowing, and my emerald eyes were without a doubt glowing as well. We circled one another for a while, until my wolf rushed over to his, rubbing her head into her fur. He smelled like green sage, sandlewood, and tonka beans. And if you have never smelled this combination before, let me tell you, it is mouth watering.

I found out Delilah was actually 3 time the size than she was in my dream, and Drew's was about 5 times as big. I also found out his wolf's name was Leo, and they were Delilah and I's mates. That would explain my sudden shift when I stepped into Drew's library. After a couple hours of being wolves, I grew exhausted and hungry from all the running we did and the pain I endured. I felt Delilah begin to shift back into my human form. Drew and Leo had disappeared from behind a tree.

As soon as I could wiggle my toes and look down at my fingers, the chilly wind made me very aware of my bare body. I dove behind a bush. "Hey, we should probably be getting bac-" Drew looked to find I wasn't there, and began thrashing around with worry. "Amelia!"

A blush crept up on my face as I called out," I'm over here.." He was about to pass the bush when my hand shot out to shield myself. "Don't come any closer.. I kind of.. um..." My blush only deepened when he didn't figure out what I was trying to say. "Naked.." After I said that, I wasn't the only one blushing. He rubbed the back of his neck. "Oh, right.. That kind of happens." He then starts taking off his shirt, then tossed it over to me.

I quickly slip it on, then stood up. His shirt was thankfully huge on me, so it dropped down to my mid thigh. I stepped out from around the bush, and walked over to Drew. He continued to stand there, staring at me. I was starting to get nervous. "Drew?" I called to pull him out of his thoughts. He shook his head, and look up at me, "Sorry, what were you saying?" I slapped his arm, and started walking back to his backyard.

I had gotten quite a distance between Drew and I, when I turned around, he was no where to be seen. " Uh, Drew?" I began to panic. Before I could call out again, my back was against a tree.
