There are 3 simple rules you need to know in order to survive and not get stuck with a vampire.

1) Never under any circumstances have sex with a vampire. EVER.
Why?

Simple....vampires crave sex.
Like actually crave it. It's on their mind constantly. Without sex they are miserable ironically.

Which leads to slaves. Sex slaves to be exact that can fulfil their desires. Some people even willingly gives themselves due to the sexual pleasure humans feel while having sex with vampires. Once you have sex with a vampire somehow a piece of you is owned by the vampire. They can control you to do things, even if you tried to run away they know how to find you with their telepathic ways.

Creepy right? It's like their a 24/7 stalker.

2)Don't get hypnotized by vampires. All vampires have red eyes, except for Rhett(which I have no idea how). These red eyes can do many things.
-seduce you
-control you
- paralyze you

Try to avoid their stares, including eager horny vampires.

3)never ever become friends, talk to, or socialize with a vampire. They can not be trusted.

Seems like I already broken rule number 3. Great

I look around the car. Sleek, slim, not a scratch to be found. Not surprised seeing as how well kept the office was. Just like Rhett.

I sit stiffly in the leather seats as the car sound lessey moves across the road. This car is worth more than my life! I've only been in a car a handful of times. Distant memories.

I stare out the tinted window passing the mushy gray broken down buildings.The no grass lawns and people with dirty clothes scavenging for food.

My neighborhood.
Sadly.

"How long have you lived here?"

I turn to Rhett surprised by his deep voice. Ever since we got by the neighborhood he has gotten deadly silent. I hold his gaze long enough to make me uncomfortable and turn around shielding my face with my curly hair.

"4 years." I squeeze my thighs together stuffing my hands between them.

We pass by a few familiar houses before I say stop. I stare at the building in front of me.Three story building with dirty green paint and black smudges everywhere. A broken glass door and the sign hanging un-evenly.

Shady apartments

I take a deep breath scanning the area making sure no one is around. In this neighborhood there's no such thing as to being too safe.

"I'll be back." I say unlocking the door.

A hand stops me.

I freeze a chill vibrating through my body. I look down at Rhett's large hand on my arm. Even with my long sleeve shirt I can feel the warmth of his hand. My body stills at heat that comes form his hand. Expected it to be freezing.

He snatches his hand back just as fast. Like I'm a disease, an infection.

Must be because your dirty and poor

I look at him confused, "my guard will go with you for protection." He nods to the front of the car. At this I couldn't help but roll my eyes.

I have protected me and my sister for years now.

I shake my head softly. "no it's ok.I rather go alone..." I slip out the car scanning the perimeter again for safety.
