"Merry Christmas Eva." I say handing the box to her. She eagerly grabs it tearing the paper off.

Her eyes widen as she takes out the necklace.

"It's so pwetty!" she yells.

I smile grabbing the silver necklace and putting it around her neck. "See it's a locket..if you open it there's a picture of me and you. ..so whenever you feel sad or lonely just know I'll always be here." I pat her chest giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you leily!" she giggles.

I nod at Mary from the corner gratefully. Yesterday she caught me worrying about what to get eva and said Ottava will be able to buy whatever. Of course I really wanted my gift to be something that I actually was thoughtful to so I decided to get Eva a necklace. At least it's the thought that counts.

Right now at the moment Ms.harris, Eva, and Mary are sitting in front of the Christmas tree. Yes even Rhett had a christmas tree put up when we made the deal. Which reminds me-where is he?
It towers everyone but nevertheless is beautiful.

The door busts open. "hello good morning everyone your King-ugh prince has arrived!"

I roll my eyes at Anthony then smile. He's not as bad as he looks-in fact he's nice..and sweet.
I look at him from under my eyes...he's also handsome.

Stop it leslie!

Damn blue eyes.

I scold myself as Eva jumps up hugging his legs.

"Merry chwisasmas prince!"she squeals.

"Look what Leily got me!" Anthony bends down smiling.

"It's gorgeous! Like you my princess."

"I know." came her reply with a smirk and gleaming eyes.

Well that little!!

"What are you doing here?" I ask sipping on my warm coffee enjoying the taste.

Anthony just grins at me "bring them in!"

Maids roll in 3 gigantic carts of presents.

"I came because I brought presents for everyone!" Eva squeals, I almost drop my cup and Ms.harris gaps.

"What?"

Anthony pats Eva before using his speed gathering some presents setting it next to Ms.harris

"this is for Ms.harris"

He does the same for Eva. Eva dosen't waste her time in unwrapping her presents revealing an endless cycle of toys.I stand there frozen watching as eva tears present by present. I turn to ms.harris seeing her old face light up in delight as she opens presents,some with clothes-some with food,and even garden supplies.

He whispers something in Mary's ear which makes her face light up.

"Not bad ehh?" I jump and turn to anthony surprising him.

I latch my arms around him squeezing him feeling his arms tense before tightening.

I slowly let go on the verge of tears. Thank you Anthony.Thankyou" His eyes widen before he throws a smirk at me.

"We'll it's not over yet." I frown at his words.

He leaves and in a flash is in front of me with a box in his hands.

He sets it on the ground.

"This is for you my queen."

I roll my eyes at him "Anthony I don't want anythin-"
"I'm not taking about you I'm talking about Eva." He deadpans and then burst at my frozen expressions. "Kidding"

"Please just open it." He pleads.

I gaze at him before sighing. I get down on my knees seeing the box move slighty.

Ok either he put a beast in the box to kill me or I'm over reacting.

For now I chose to go with the second idea.

My eyes narrow at the box before looking at Anthony "I swear if a lion jumps out I. .will kill you."

He smirks at me humming to himself.

I tense before lifts the top of the lid up before gapsing.I feel tears slide down my face e
as my hands wrap around the small soft object.

I lift it up hugging it to my body.The puppy's soft white fur under my finger tips.It growls before sniffing me cuddling up against my chest. It's adorable ears tucked and his whiskers under his paws.

"I..love it..but...how..when?" I stutter looking up at Anthony. He stares at me before nodding his head coming out of whatever trance he was in.

He scratches his neck before his lips tug upward "Ms.Harris told me you always wanted a dog." I look at Ms.harris as she smiles softly at me.

When I was little I always wanted a dog-mother hated them and we never had enough money to buy one anyway. One day I was wondering alone -even though I knew I shouldn't be since it was dark and vampires could be out. I was a very adventurous and dangerous as a child.

I stumbled upon a dog who was laying on the ground dying. I remember like it was yesterday passing by it in a pool of blood not knowing what happened to it.

I would have kept going if it wasn't for the whine that came out of no where.

Me being my young self Of course went to investigate the sound and found a puppy whinning against the dogs belly nudging it with it's nose.

I cautiously knelled down seeing the dogs chest barely move. I now see it was a mother and her pup. She wines startling me and I pick up her pup knowing what I have to do.

I hold the pup tightly to me before soflty petting the mamma head whispering to her "Don't worry I'll take care of your babay." I look in the dog's eyes knowing it's stupid but showing her I'm serious about taking care of her child. Her eyes slowly close before she's gone.

I remember running home excited to show my mom. It all went down hill from there. My mom hated the puppy so much she slapped me before yanking the dog out my hands throwing it angerly at the wall unfortunately killing it. I remember the sting of my cheek and the disbelief as I sobbed on the floor next to the puppy apologizing over and over again.

"I'll take care of you, I promise." I whisper to the pup in my arms with tears.
