Happened by accident

Unexpected

Half an hour later the ceremony finally ended and guess what I'm a college girl now! The feeling is awesome man!! I'll be having a new life, new people, new friends everything will be totally different! to the good I hope.

"Hey Jasmine's here!" Noura said clapping her hands.

I smiled when I saw both my parents, Jasmine and Joseph were standing right there in front of me with smiles on their faces.

"JAS" I shouted, we both ran and hugged each other tightly.

"You know I wouldn't miss it" she chuckled.

"Of course you wouldn't" I smirked and then went to where my parents were standing.

"Oh my only daughter will be a college girl soon" my dad said smiling as more tears fell down my mom's eyes.

After couple of minutes sitting with Noura, Noah and Alex, my mom asked for our attention, all of us looked at her.

"good news!" My mom said before taking a deep breath "well me and Jasmine's mom have been talking about this for 2 months now and we decided that you Sarah and Joseph will soon be wife and husband"

If felt like someone had just shot me or something. Everyone looked shocked but all of a sudden my attention turned to Noah to see his eyes filled with tears and his jaw dropped just like everyone else. I wanted to scream but I knew that won't solve anything.

"WHAT?" Joseph said almost shouting. "When? How? And why....? Why us? My mom didn't even bother taking MY opinion? That's so rude!" He turned around and walked away. To admit I felt sorry for him but all I was thinking about right now was...

did this hurt Noah?

"What the hell mom? Why would you do that?! Don't you know we don't like each other? Wasn't it obvious? Uh you know what mom thanks you just ruined the whole day." I then ran to the bathroom with Noura following.

I stood in front of the bathroom mirror, I looked at myself and tears started falling down. My mom never did this to me, I know her very well there must be something wrong....

"Stop crying sarah" noura begged. I looked at her to remember she likes Joseph and if I accepted this marriage she will probably hate me and I sure don't wanna loose a friend like her.

"I'm sorry" I cried.

"Don't be Sarah this is your destiny" she tried smiling but she couldn't. I huged her as I kept on apologizing.

The minute I went out of the bathroom Alex came running.

"Sarah y-you need to see this" he said trying to catch his breath.

"Wh..." I couldn't finish as he quickly held my hand and took me with him.

We entered the school and then a room. there was Noah sitting on the floor, punching the wall with his hands, eyes red, mumbling words that I couldn't understand. I stood there afraid of getting near him, I was scared, yes I was scared to hurt him more and more.

"Do something Sarah!" I looked at Alex one more time before entering the room.

"Noah.." I said loud enough for him to hear me.

He stopped, stood up and looked at me, I wasn't able to help him I was weak, I wanted to tell him that I like him but I can't I'm a Muslim I can't do that.

I walked closer to him and held his arm to make him stop, he then pulled his arm away with all his strength which caused me to fall on the floor, as I yelled in pain.
