*Ebony's POV*
Time went so quickly when I was with Alex. It was weird, it felt like we had just finished breakfast, but we'd actually been playing video games for about two hours. My mum and dad probably thought I was with Annika. To be honest, I'm glad I wasn't. I was having fun with Alex. It's kinda funny thinking back on it now, but usually I would only be happy studying, however for some reason or another, I was really enjoying myself.
"Hey, um, I think I need to take you home." Alex said, standing up and turning off his Xbox.
I tried not to look as disappointed as I felt. "O-okay."
"Aw." Alex said gently.
"What?" I blushed.
"You look so sad." he chuckled.
"No! I mean... I'm not sad..." I shrugged.
Alex just laughed and rolled his eyes, helping me up and started walking out into the hallway. I followed him, looking sadly back at his bedroom. Something inside me wished I could just stay here forever. What was all this?
Maybe I'm just emotional at the moment. Whatever.
"What are you waiting for?" Alex turned around and looked a little concerned. "Did you leave something behind?"
I shook my head and walked behind him. He smiled and when we got outside, he turned to me. "Where's your house?"
"Ridgeway Road." I answered.
"Great, we can walk then." he grinned.
"But... Ridgeway is kinda far." I frowned.
"I know, then we can talk more." Alex laughed.
I smiled at him. That was kinda cute, did he really want to talk to me? As we walked along, talking, I looked deeply at him. His dark hair was a little messy, and along with his pronounced jawline, he seemed almost rugged and sexy, but then you would look to his big green eyes and small lips and see the cuteness and child-like look of his face.
When the conversation fell silent neither of us started talking again. I looked down at his skinny legs and utterly flat stomach. Although he was pretty skinny, his arms were quite toned and his shoulders were quite broad.
Looking up at him, I watched him intently. Alex stared at the ground and then, sensing me looking at him, he smiled. "Why have you been staring at me for the last five minutes? He laughed.
I felt myself blush and I stuttered. "Hey, I don't mind." he grinned. "Keep looking."
Shaking my head, I looked away. "Whatever." I said.
"You say that a lot don't you?" Alex smirked.
"I don't." I insisted. "Whatever."
"Oh ha ha." he said sarcastically, pushing me gently. I pushed him back and he stuck his tongue out. We reached my road, and soon enough we were outside my house. "You know, Ebony, I like you."
"Really? I like you too." I looked at the ground.
"I'll see you around." he said, putting his hands in his pockets.
"Bye." I said quietly, and disappeared into my house. Quickly, I walked to my window and watched him walk down the street.
Little did I know, it would be the last time I would see him for a while.
