You were panicking even more when you realized the fire around you. You screamed in terror until a pair of arms wrapped around you. You knew it was Mako and you stopped screaming.
"I know your scared, but I'm not going to let anyone get to you. Calm down. Please." Mako whispered in your ear. You slowly calmed and when you did you turned in Mako's arms wrapping your own around him as your knees weakened as you collapsed on the fire bender. You tried not to cry. How is this even possible? You thought. Mako lifted you into his arms carrying you bridal style.
"I can walk Mako." You whispered.
"Don't be ridiculous. You can barely keep your eyes open." Mako smiled at you. You shook your head.
"I'm fine, I don't want to make you carry me all the way to the temple." You said quietly.
"It's okay we have a car." Mako's laugh was bittersweet. You nodded slightly. He helped you in the car where you leaned against Mako falling asleep. When you woke up you were still in the black dress inside a huge fancy room. You looked and felt the part of a princess. But something was off. You stood walking out of the room looking down the hallway you carefully walked out of the doorway and sneaking down the hall. You followed the sound of splashing and laughter. You opened the door a little looking in and seeing Mako, Bolin, and Asami. You were relieved.
"Mako, my clothes were to big on her. You need to talk to her about it. Or at least Korra." Asami sighed.
"I've noticed, she almost never eats but I'm hoping her regaining her bending will fix it." Mako put his face in his hands.
"I'm perfectly okay." You announced opening the door loudly.
Everyone flinched at your voice, harsh and filled with venom.
"You sure? It's not all because of your weight. You are just more different. Cold, distant." Bolin asked concerned.
"Whatever. I am going home." You waved them off walking towards the door.
"We told Tenzin. You are actually going to stay here with us for a few weeks." Mako informed you. You groaned.
"I am fine." You snapped at them. You felt lost and abandoned and pulled in at the same time.
"No. You are not." Mako snapped raising his voice. You flinched at his tone.
"I know." You shouted. "I am going to look around." You whispered walking out of the pool, you heard a splash of water and ran. You ran through the high ceiling hallways not looking back as your bare feet smacked against the hardwood. You were a lot lighter and elegant on your feet than the brothers especially with their wet feet. You heard a crash and two male shouts. You knew Asami was still coming, you could feel it with every step you took. It was the way she took her steps, her rhythm perfectly even. You sped up taking a sharp turn down a hallway and found a staircase that went up. Quick as ever you took the stairs two at a time. You twisted halfway up sliding down the railing like they do in the movies. Once your feet hit that ground you were off again catapulting into Mako. You were quick to get to your feet and ramble away expecting Bolin you flipped over him sliding around a sharp corner into the pool area finding a new door you raced out of it seeing the most beautiful thing ever, an exit. You shoved those doors open seeing the sunlit driveway and ring down it grass sliding between your toes. It wasn't until you were launched into the air by the earth beneath you you shrieked. It was depressing knowing you might never be this high in the air again but you had more pressing matters. Like death. You concentrated on your fear and made grow into blue fire. It poured out of the bottoms of your feet lifting you into the air. You weren't going to stay someone's captive. You flew sneakily but managed to make it to the arena rooftop. You realized with shaking hands, you were still a bender.
