A Little Light Mako x Reader

Chapter Fifteen

You watched the fleet shower bombs over the city. You were racing after Korra and the rest of team avatar, but she stopped you.
"(YN). I need you to stay here." Korra whispered her hand on your shoulder.
"No." You growled.
"You kept me safe in that winter storm. Putting me before you, now I'm returning the favor." Korra stated leaving you stunned and silent. She hugged you tightly before running away. Make and the others moved to follow her except they each one by one gave you a goodbye hug exchanging words of safety. But when Mako stood in front of you, you practically broke down. Mako embraced you petting your hair.
"You stay safe, okay?" Make asked kissing your forehead before running off.
A tear dropped down your cheek. You turned sweeping the air bending children into your arms pushing them into the temple. That was when Pema shrieked.
"Pema!" Your eyes widened.
"The baby! It's coming!" She cried out. Some of the monks nearby helped Pema away and you herded the kids up to the attic. You sat them down up there each one with small terrified looks not heir faces even more when the patting against the roof came. You could hear a clash of metal and grabbed the kid's hands.
"We need to help the Chief. Do you think you can protect your mother?" You said with a smirk. The kids instantly went from scared to proud little warriors. You lead them back outside. Once they were out of your grip there was no controlling them. You were out there with them fighting the equalist. the children are exactly like Avatar Aang would have been proud of seeing how they moved the air like it was an extension of their arm. you were out with them in a minute throwing hot blue flames in every equalist direction. did she seemed surprised at the sudden appearance of the Airbender children along with you. But she wasn't going to turn down the help.
" What are you kids doing down here." the chief shouted. the Equalists or shocked at how well you and the children fought. but it wasn't until Tenzin showed up to help protect your temple that you all slow down. now is a family you are all protecting the temple protecting Pema who was in there having a child.
" How could you have let them fight!" Tenzin shrieked.
" I'm glad they came. They were amazing fighters you would have been proud to see them to have watched them protect their home. children like your own don't come along every day." The chief said beaming at you and the children. One of the Air Nomads approached telling Tenzin that he has a new son. The air master was gone in a flash. You and the other airbending kids for following hurrying to see Pema. You hadn't raced to get there though, so one you have got there they had already named the new born child. Had changed now, the middle of attack on Republic City, but now there was a child that needed protecting and that no matter what cost you would be the one to protect this child. you wouldn't let one more thing go wrong in this attack despite the burning city. despite your wounds from the attack on the temple. you wouldn't let one more person one more child one more innocent be harmed in Amon's silly game. You sat on the back of the sky bison flying towards safety without your sister, your only family. You knew Korra. You knew she would stop Amon, face to face to help the city. She was going to grow into an amazing avatar someday. And people like them on should watch out because you are going to be next to Korra and help her take on the world.

I'm so sorry this took so long. It was so hard to write and I don't know if it will be soon that I update this because I am starting a Black Butler x Reader fan fiction. Most likely tonight or tomorrow.
