I stood there as my heart raced 90 miles an hour threatening to escape my chest,

"Sorry for what?" I asked although I was afraid of the answer. He brought his right hand up my arm slowly sending waves of excitement through me and leaving goose bumps. When his hand reached my shoulder where the bite had been he sighed,

"You don't get a choice, I wanted you to have a choice, but that fucking-" I turned around sharply and swatted his hand away,

"Answer me, why are you sorry?" He looked around the bathroom trying to avoid eye contact,

"Celine, did you ever hear stories that couldn't possibly be real, but wonder maybe they could be?" I looked at him directly in the eyes and he met my gaze,

"you're not making any sense Jem,"

"Stories of vampires and witches and such, have you ever wondered if they were real," I actually chuckled,

"Don't be ridiculous," but his face was serious and my laughter faded, "Jem? Can you please get to the point?" He nodded not breaking eye contact,

"They are...they're real. I'm real proof," He stopped and I began side stepping away from him. Was he insane? What'd he think he was, a blood sucker? Someone who could turn others into a toad or maybe he'll just throw his pixie dust on me and we'll fly away to Neverland? He was insane!

I quickly scurried away from him and he looked nothing but hurt, and sadly enough it hurt me just to see him like that-No! He was seriously messed up in the head, "Stay away from me," He looked at the ground,

"You think I'm crazy." It wasn't a question but I nodded,

"Can you seriously blame me right now? You expect me to think you're a vampire?" He looked up at me and smiled,

"I'm not a vampire," I froze then started walking toward my bedroom door again,

"That doesn't make it better, look what ever you think you are, I'm sure your cousins can find you treatment," he chuckled and I ran out of the room. No way am I going to stay in that room with him. While I was running down stairs and looking behind me I ran into Chase who was on his way up,

"Ow! Jesus Celine calm down, why are you running?" He helped me straighten myself out then I whispered in his ear,

"I think Jem's insane, he tried to convince me he's a vampire,"

"I did not," Said Jem from the top of the stairs,

"Did to!" I shouted at him then hid behind Chase who crossed his arms over his chest,

"This isn't funny man, what the hell do you think you're doing?" Jem sighed and started walking down the stairs,

"I tried explaining it to her because if you haven't noticed she looked at the bite. Anyways, when I tried explaining it to her she must have got the wrong idea, because one, I am not insane, and two, I am definitely not a vampire," Chase looked over his shoulder at me,

"come on, let's go down stairs...we kind of need to talk anyways," I furrowed my brows,

"This can't be good," I grumbled and they both chuckled behind me.

When I got down stairs the rest of them were still at the table talking amongst themselves, but when Chase cleared his throat and everyone saw me without the wrappings on their faces changed from happy to frantic,

"Uh-oh," Trey said quietly. Jake stood and so did Cynthia,

"Guess we're having this talk a lot sooner than we thought?" Jake said faking a chuckle,
