I was so annoyed with my step sisters. So very annoyed.

Who could blame me though?

As soon as I got home I went to bed, wit tears rolling down my face and sobs escaping my lips mercilessly.

I should have known Jake would be upset with me for not telling him the truth. It is all he would want from someone who would call him their best friend.

To my surprise I heard a knocking at my door. I expected it to be my step mum to let me know another bad event had happened to be during this painful day.

So I reluctantly wiped my tears away to deceive her with my masked strength.

Once I had reached the door, I pulled the door open. And to my surprise stood before me was Jake. He was stood there with a hurt expression on his face.

"Why?" He asked.

"I...urm.... Well...." I stood confused. On the edge of tears.

"Why did you do this to me?"

"What do you mean?" I questioned.

"Why didn't you tell me? I was desperate to know who it was. The mystery beauty I had met. And it just so happened to be the person I so hoped it would be. But yet I found this out from someone other that herself. Do you know how that feels? It is crushing. So why? Why Deana?"

I stood shocked. Completely dumb founded. I was so utterly happy with what he had just said that I did something out of the box. Something I never thought I would have the courage to do. I kissed him.

I knew from that day forward that I started with a life that wasn't so great. But luck is always around the corner in different forms.
