Connor McDavid (Edmonton Oilers)

"Have I told you how beautiful you look tonight?" Connor mumbled against my neck.

"Only seven times," I giggled.

"Oops, sorry. I can't help it. You know you look gorgeous... and apparently so does Hall," he nodded over to one of his new teammates and I recognized him as Taylor Hall.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the way he was looking at me and I knew Connor was getting irritated with him as well. Taylor had no shame, looking at me without trying to hide it even a little bit. I grew uncomfortable under his stare and shifted myself towards Connor. Taylor narrowed his eyes our way and I noticed that Connor was glaring at him.

"Babe. Baby. Con. Connor!" I snapped at him to get his attention.

"Yeah, I know, I know," he groaned "he's just looking at you. He's not even glancing over! He's full on staring at you!"

"I know, but please don't make a big deal out of it," I pleaded with him "let's just enjoy ourselves! There are a lot of other people here. Why don't we go talk to Cam and Kelly?"

I took his hand in mine and led him to where Cam Talbot and his wife sat. Kelly smiled at me and got up to hug me really quickly before she offered up the seats next to her and Cam. We talked and talked for a good ten minutes, Kelly and I talking about New York fashion week while Connor and Cam spoke about the team.

"Do you want something to drink?" Connor asked me.

I nodded. "Yes please,"

Cam asked the same to Kelly, then both boys got up to the other end of the room to get us something.

"You know Hallsy has been looking at you for the past 20 minutes," Kelly smirked at me.

"Oh gosh," I rolled my eyes "he hasn't stopped. I'm starting to think I should go say something to him about it. Connor was super pissed about it, I'm surprised he didn't say anything to him earlier."

"He'd probably wet himself if you went to talk to him," Kelly giggled and I doubled over in my seat.

"You're so right," I laughed.

"Uh oh," Kelly mumbled, making me stop and look at her with wide eyes "stalker boy 3:00,"

I closed my eyes and sighed, preparing myself for the coming conversation. I looked at Kelly with pleading eyes, but she just shrugged and pulled her phone out.

"Hi," he said, pulling out the same chair Connor sat on not even five minutes ago "you're Connor's girlfriend, right? (Y/N)?"

"Yeah..." I gave him a small smile.

"Well, I just wanted to tell you that you're very beautiful. I hope Connor treats you right," he winked at me and I bit back a smile.

"Thanks,"

"She does look beautiful, doesn't she?" Connor stood behind Taylor, drinks in hand.

Taylor stood almost immediately, his face turning a bright red. He sputtered out a quick 'sorry' to Connor and waved at me before leaving to talk to Ryan.

Connor looked at me questioningly and I just sighed and shrugged. He smiled at me and set down a glass in front of me. I thanked him and bit my lip, swirling the straw around. What was Taylor planning to say? He knew I was Connor's girlfriend, so why did he even try to- No, you're being stupid. He wasn't hitting on you... Was he?

"He's still looking over here," Cam said, exasperated "can he not take a goddamn hint?"

"I know," Kelly agreed "he really needs to stop. It's just getting out of hand."

Suddenly, Connor slammed his hands down on the table and got up, stalking over to Taylor. We all groaned and I hid my face in my arms. Please don't make a scene, Connor.

I looked over towards the two of them and saw Taylor's face turn a ghostly white. Connor said one more thing to him before coming back over to me. He leaned down and gave me a quick, firm kiss that took me by surprise.

"Love you," he smiled after he leaned back.

"Love you, too, Con," I laughed.

"Well, he might have wet himself, but at least he's not looking over here anymore,"
