The pain I go through is unexplainable, this continuous pain
The breaking of my heart is getting more frequent
It's getting harder and harder to be strong
The warmness of my heart is fading by the day
I feel the coldness taking over and I can't stop...
My name is Jada Melinda Diaz, I'm 14 years old currently and this year I will be an high school freshman. I am a mixture of Puerto Rican and African American. I stand at about 5'4, I'm light skin with dark brown eyes and long curly hair that flows down my back. I sat on the plane next to my two older twin sisters Riley and Racquel looking out the window, my mother Rosalinda sat on the side of us in the next set of seats listening to her earbuds.
Just in a few hours we would be in Chicago, Illinois. If your wondering why, it's because, after living in Puerto Rico all of our lives my mother thought it was time for us a change. It was almost a 5 hour flight from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Chicago, Illinois but we were finally here.
After getting off the plane and getting our luggage my mother caught us a cab and we made our way to our new home. This would be Riley, Racquel, and I's first time seeing our new home, but my mom visited Chicago a couple of weeks ago to see the house. I looked out the window as we drove into a neighborhood called Beverly, it was filled with big beautiful house and it was just an all together nice setting. It' so different in Chicago from how it was in Puerto Rico, it looks, sounds, and smells so different. The cab stopped in front of a beautiful blue two story house, I was in so much awe I couldn't believe this was our home.

I quickly exited the cab in excitement and grabbed my belongings. We brought very few things with us just a few clothes and shoes. We all had two suitcases a piece my mother had all our things sent and set up before arrived, she even sent her car ahead of time so it sat perfectly in our driveway when we got here. I waited at the front door of the home for my mother and sisters.
They grabbed their things out the cab and made their way to me, when my mom opened the front door, I was the first to walk in. " Wow" the twins and I said in unison as I turned around the foyer looking around at everything. The house had six bedrooms, six bathrooms, four of the rooms had bathrooms adjacent to them, there was a main bathroom on the first floor, and then finally there was a main bathroom on the second floor. "Do you guys like it?" my mom asked already knowing the answer to her question. "It's perfect, where's my room?" I asked looking my mom in the eye. "Upstairs the second room from the end of the hall" my mom responded back before I took off towards the stairs climbing them two at a times and running to the room my mom said was mines.
