CHAPTER 5

{months later}

Jada P.O.V

It was January and it was starting to get real cold. I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. I got up and headed to the bathroom. I took my shower and washed my face. I stared in the mirror for a moment then I brushed my teeth. I walked to my room in my towel and closed the door. I looked threw my closet for a cute outfit to wear. I found my white and pink sweater dress. I put it on with my white leggings and my pink booties. I let my natural curly hair hang and put on my pearl earrings. When I went downstairs I saw Racquel and Gabriella. Riley was still in the bathroom. Gabriella dressed simple in denim jeans and a black shirt that said Gabby. She wore her all black ones with it. Racquel had on her hoodie that Kevin bought her that said For and his said ever. She had a white shirt on under it and some black jeans, with her Air Jordan Oreos. Riley came downstairs in her black blazer and red undershirt. She had on black skinny jeans and some all red kd's.

We all talked while my mama put on her shoes. We all ate quick meals, I had cereal, Gabby had some yogurt, Raquel ate toast, and Riley simply ate a banana. "Come on guys" my mom said walking into the kitchen. We all grabbed our jackets and bags then headed out the door. When we were in the car we listened to the radio on our way to the school and Sam smith Stay With Me blasted threw the speakers. I sang along with the chorus and we all bobbed our heads. When we pulled up to the school I saw Charles waiting for me. I smiled hard and before my mom could completely stop I hopped out the car. I ran to him and jumped up to kissed him. "Hey Charles" my mom yelled out the window waving at him and giving him a friendly smile.

For the last couple of months me and Charles have been dating. My mom adores Charles like her own son. Charles had told me about his mom situation and it was so sad to me. We walked through the school holding hands on our way to the gym. I saw Javier and gave him a side hug. There was no beef, we weren't the best of friends but we were cordial. After we shared a brief hugged Javier and Charles dapped each other up. Gabriella walked through the halls walking in front of Anderson as he held her waist. Racquel and Riley disappeared in the crowd of people going into the gym.

"Sit and wait for the bell I don't want to see any of you in the halls" principal Jones said as we were entering the gym. I sat by Charles and his friends until Chance came over. I got up about to walk away, I really didn't like Chance. He was cocky and thought he knew everything. My cheeks started to get red and my nostrils began to flare. Charles grabbed my arm and pulled me into his lap. "Baby calm down" Charles said before he kissed my neck. I pulled away from him and he grabbed me a little rougher. "Girl stop playing and gimme a kiss" Charles said sitting me back on his lap. The bell rang and I got up without giving him a kiss.

I walked down the hall with rage building up, why the fuck I got to calm down Chance bitch ass didn't have to sit over there." What's wrong bestie?" Gabby sad walking into the bathroom after me. "Chance bitch ass always feels the need to come around me knowing I don't fuck wit him" I said rolling my eyes as my nostrils flared. "Jay calm down he not even worth getting this mad over. "He not even the reason I'm mad Charles telling me to calm down when he should've been telling Chance to move" I said with a mug on my face. "Jay it's not that serious just count to 20 and chill the fuck out" Gabby said being reasonable. Sometimes I did make little shit bigger than it was but If I don't fuck with you I just don't. After calming down I decided to walk out the bathroom with Gabby. Just my luck when we walk out the bathroom Charles was standing across the hallway talking to his friends. I walked out the bathroom and passed Charles I didn't even acknowledge that he was right there. "Damn bro she giving you the cold shoulder" James said in a jokingly way as I walked passed them. "Nah she got me fucked up" Charles said to his friends before he walked up to me.
