CHAPTER 23

Josh P.O.V.

I sat in Longhorn Steak House with Riley finishing up our food. I looked over at her finally taking in all her features. The way you could see the excitement in her eyes when she laughed. How pouty her pink plump lips were and how they were always glossy. Riley was truly beautiful, the way her features were made you could tell she was exotic.

"Are you going to stare at me or finish your food?" Riley said pulling me out my thoughts. I just smiled at her, I didn't know what to say. "What time is it?" Riley asked looking down at her phone. "I don't know" I said looking over at her waiting for her to say the time. We completely lost track of time once we started talking and eating. "Shit, its 12:57pm I only have 3 minutes to get back to school" Riley said throwing her head back in frustration.

{4 days later}

Julia P.O.V.

I looked around the room and realized I was in the hospital. "She's woke" I heard what sounded to be Gabriella scream. My head was pounding and the screaming wasn't helping. I scrunched up my face because of all the tubes that running in my body. I couldn't talk due to the tube that was in my mouth that looked like a breathing tube.

"It's okay momma a doctor is on their way in here" Gabby said which comforted me a little but this tube in my mouth was uncomfortable. "Hi Ms.Hernandez, how are you feeling?" a lady in a nurses uniform asked me. I obviously couldn't talk due to the breathing tube that was in my mouth, I don't know if she was trying to be funny or what.

I just simply stared at her with full blown mug on my face. "Oh I'm sorry silly me" the nurse said moving cords around and taking the tube out my mouth. "Yeah silly you" I said in a raspy with an attitude indent on my face when she finally took the tube out. "Mom stop" Gabby said I'm assuming that she already saw where this conversation was going.

"I truly am sorry miss" the nurse said with fear and sincerity in her eyes. I didn't mean to scare the lady or nothing, I was just pissed that I woke up in the hospital. "No, my apologies your only doing your job" I said still in a raspy and low voice. "I'm going to go get you some water mom" Gabby said heading out the room to go retrieve my water. I sat in my room talking to my nurse for the time being. She asked me a series of questions and she also checked my vitals.

Jada P.O.V.

I heard my alarm ringing which caused me to get up. I haven't ate in 2 days, since Jasmine was taken I can't function. I feel really weak and it's pissing me off that Charles isn't here. He running in the fucking streets as always like that's going to help find my baby. "Hija" I heard my mother say from outside my door.

"Come in mom" I said sitting up in my bed a little. "Sweetie you need to eat something" my mom said walking in with a tray of food in her hand. "I'm not hungry ma" I said in a raspy voice that was almost unrecognizable to my own. I sounded so weak, my voice sounded strained and horrible. "Please Jada just eat something" my mom said before her phone start ringing.

She handed me the tray of food then answered her phone call. I just looked down at the food quietly thinking. I couldn't believe this shit was happening to me, I never been through anything like this. The pain of someone taking your baby from you, your own flesh and blood. I promised myself over and over that we will find Jasmine alive. I was taken from my deep thoughts by my mother saying something that sparked my attention.

"Julia is woke" my mom said to me which caused me to look at her with a small smile that lasted for only a second. "That's good news" I said to mother while looking at one of Jasmine's toys. It made me sadder than I already was just to look at the stuff animal my baby slept with every night. But it also gave me a little more hope and encouragement that we were going to find her.
