Chapter 15 - Snacks and Surprises

"Hey babe. Lets keep going where we left off" I heard Brandon's voice say, and I saw him standing there in the room.

I jolted awake and gasped, then realized I was still safe in Rydel's room. Rydel was still sleeping, and the clock said it was almost 7 am. It took me a while to calm down but I didn't want to go to sleep so I just laid there and waited for everyone to wake up. After a while I drifted off, and woke up when I heard someone in the kitchen so I went down there. It was Stormie, making breakfast.

"Good morning!" I said, trying to sound cheerful. 

"Hey sweetie!" She said, and wrapped me in a hug. I wish my family was more into hugs...

"Did you sleep okay?" She asked, going back to the stove.

"Yes, thanks" I lied. I didn't want everyone to worry anymore than they already were.

"Okay, thats good." She smiled.

"Can I help you with anything?" I asked her, feeling bad for just standing there and wanting to get the conversation away from me.

"Sure! Why don't you help me make some pancakes." She answered, so I helped her make batter and flip the pancakes too. It was a lot of fun, we never did this stuff at my house. It was always just everyone get food for yourself. Pretty much everyone just did everything for themselves at my house actually.

Soon, everyone else woke up and came downstairs for breakfast. Everyone treated me like I was made of glass, and would break any moment. Well, maybe I would. I didn't even know anymore. The pancakes were great, and breakfast was fun. We decided to just stay in today, because I really didn't want to go anywhere after last night. No one tried to convince me either, so we all settled down in the living room and watched TV after breakfast. Ellington and Kelly were there too, since they'd stayed overnight. After that, everyone went back to their rooms. I noticed that Ross never came down to eat, but figured that maybe he was still sleeping. I went into the living room and turned on the tv to get my mind off of some things. I saw that Mamma Mia had just started so I watched that. Later, I watched an episode of Pretty Little Liars. After that ended I couldn't find anything to watch but still didn't want to get up so I flipped through the channels. It got to Disney Channel and I was about to keep flipping the channel, but I saw something that made me freeze.

There was a guy on tv.. A familiar guy.. Just then Ross walked in the door.

"ROSS!"  I shouted, and he looked startled.

"Jenna!" He said back.

"YOU'RE ON TV!" I yelled, and he looked at the screen. 

"Oh yeah... Did I forget to mention that?" He asked sheepishly.

"DID. YOU. FORGET. TO. MENTION." I said slowly trying to take this in.

"Sorry! I don't just go around telling everyone I see that I'm on a tv show. I don't want them to give me special treatment or anything." He said. 

"sfhtrjhryaddfg" I murmured incomprehensibly, and he laughed and walked upstairs.

I turned up the volume of the tv and started watching the show. It was called Austin and  Ally. It was pretty funny, and soon I was just sitting there laughing to myself about something a character named Dez said, and then Ross walked in. He took one look at me and burst out laughing. He fell onto his knees and I slid off the couch to sit next to him. After we finally caught our breathe again, I sighed and put my head on his shoulder. We jsut sat there for a while and the show ended, so I turned off the tv. We heard footsteps and I quickly got up, so no one would see us. It was Stormie coming.

"Hey you guys! Listen, tomorrow Riker and Rocky are going to Ellington's house, Ryland is going to his friend's house, Rydel is going to Disneyland, and Mark and I have to do some shopping then we will be out for dinner. You can both go to Disneyland too if you want, go to Ellington's house, or you can just stay here." She said, then went upstairs.

"What do you want to do?" I asked Ross.

"Well that depends... What do YOU want to do?" He answered.

"To be honest... Let's just stay here." I said. "Disneyland is always way too crowded.. And I have to go home the day after tomorrow." I said softly.

"What?!?" He asked, his face showing confusion.

"It's been a week, Ross. My parents will be suspicous if I stay here." I said, wishing I didn't have to go back.

"You can tell them you want to stay with your brother for another week!" He said, his face lighting up. I felt terrible for doing this  to him!

"I have school next week. I can't stay here. I wish I could, but I can't. I'm sorry..." I whispered.

"It's not your fault!" He said quickly. "We'll find a way to see each other!" He said, trying to cheer me up. 

"Yeah..." I mumbled, then got up. I grabbed his hand and dragged him to the kitchen. I'd just realized that I hadn't eaten since breakfast, and I was hungry. I grabbed some snacks and soda from the closet and we went up to his room. I closed his door after we got in, and we sat on the bed facing each other cross legged. I opened a bag of chips and started eating, and he joined me too. We both opened cans of soda and started drinking, then I crushed up some chips in my hand and threw them at him and he stared me down. 

"It's ON!" He yelled, and we both jumped up off the bed. I tried to run but he caught my arm and pulled me back while I giggled. He pulled me toward him and leaned in a little, and I forgot about the chips. Just before our lips touched, he threw a crushed chip all over my hair. I gasped and tried to grab my soda but he got it first. He dumped it on my head, and I screamed. It was really cold and I did the first thing that came into my mind.. I took off my shirt. Whatever, he'd already seen me without my shirt on before so it didn't matter. I squeezed soda out of my shirt while giving him looks of disgust, which didn't turn out well because he started cracking up. I ran towards him and jumped, and he impulsively caught me. I laughed as he realized that I'd gotten him all wet from the soda too, and I pressed my lips to his with a giggle. He quickly forgot about the soda and I dropped my shirt on the ground so I could put my hands on the back of his neck.

He moaned, and I heard him say, "You taste like soda." I leaned back, and he smiled sheepishly. 

"What? I like soda..." He said and we both laughed. I tried to get down but he didn't let go of me and just then I heard running footsteps and Rocky burst through the door.

"I heard a scream! I would have come earlier but I was watching tv and there was this really funny show on and...." He trailed off slowly as he realized that I was only in my bra and shorts, and was in Ross's arms. I tried to get down, but Ross still didn't let me go.

"Heyyy Rocky..." I said slowly, and he closed his eyes and sighed.

"Do I even want to know?" He asked, and this time I smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry..." I said, and he opened his eyes again. He tried to just pretend that I was wearing a shirt, but he didn't do a very good job. I can say that it was pretty awkward...

"You can't tell anyone!" Ross said, and Rocky nodded slowly.

"If you don't want anyone to know, I won't tell. But you should really be more subtle about it.." He muttered as he turned around and left the room. 

"Smooth." I said to Ross, and we burst out laughing. 

 After we stopped laughing, I groaned.

"I have to go take a shower now, there's soda all over me!" I said.

"I have to take a shower too!" Said  Ross, pointing at his soda-stained shirt.

"I'm going first." I said.

"No I am!" He replied. Really?

"Do you really want to go through this again? Want to shower together and everything?" I asked, and he got a serious look on his face.

"I might just take you up on that offer." He said, and I giggled. I pulled my shirt back on and ran towards the bathroom, with him hot on my heels. 

Lets just say  that I won. Again.
