I woke up with a sudden jolt. I rolled over and looked at the time. 11. I can work with that. Luckily, no work for me today so I stayed in bed for another hour then I got up and found myself some biscuits to eat for 'lunch'. I flicked on the TV and the Rugby World Cup was on. New Zealand V Scotland. This would be a good game. USA got knocked out ages ago so we couldn't support them anymore. It got to 9-5 to Scotland at half time and I got myself some more snacks and reset myself for the second half. Finally it ended at 23-27 to New Zealand then I took a shower. I didn't really want to dress like a slut to meet Bonnie but I wouldn't be able to get changed and get there on time. But maybe if she saw the real me then she might break up with him. I could tell she wasn't right for him. I got a black strapless crop top with gold jems at the top with denim hot pants that had gold jems in the pocket. I also got some black heels that straped around the ankle. I did my make up and curled my hair to leave it down. I locked up and got in the Camaro. I really didn't wanna be doing this but I had to for my brother.
I pulled up outside her house and took a deep breath. Let's do this. I got to the door and knocked. She opened it with a plain expression on her face.
"Oh, hi, come in" her face brightened a little. She had blonde hair which was cut into a graduated bob and a stunning body. Curves in all the right places which I was jealous of. I smiled and followed her in, closing the door behind me.
"I'm Bonnie" she said as she walked to the kitchen
"Yeah, I figured" I replied. She stopped short of the door to the kitchen and turned her head to the left to glare at me out the corner of her eye. I wasn't being a bitch on purpose, I just say it how it is. We carried on into the kitchen to see Tyler propped up on the counter with a glass of water in his hand. He smiled when he saw me and put his drink down to hug me. I smiled back as I hugged him
"Hey sis" he said and kissed me on the cheek.
"Dinner's almost ready, go and sit in the dining room" Bonnie ordered and we obeyed.
"Yo, what are you wearing?" Tyler asked in a hushed tone
"I got somewhere to be after this" I replied
"What, a slut parade?" He asked. I screwed up my face and pushed him one handed. He pushed me back then we sat down. She came in with bowls of soup and casseroles for us. I stared at it for a moment before picking up a spoon and starting to eat it. I grimaced as I ate it, or drank it, whatever but I covered it up. While we were eating, it gave me time to look around the house. You could really tell she was a religious person. Cruxifixs were placed everywhere. On the walls, on the fire place, above all the doors. There was pictures of jesus on the cross hung up all around the room with quotes from his disciples.
I took another sip of my soup and decided to break the silence.
"So, my brother tells me that your religious" I start
"Yeah, I wanted to ask about that, I thought you were meant to be dead?" She completely avoided my question and got her facts all wrong
"Bon!" Tyler tried to hush her.
"See, that's where your wrong, He was meant to be dead from protecting me. you know, you really have no consideration, do you?" I snapped
"Excuse me? I was simply asking a question" she objected
"A touching one at that" I argued back
"Well, you're both alive now, so what does it matter?" I scoffed at her ignorance
"Yeah, that's exactly right, so let's just leave it at that" Tyler added. I glared at him for taking her side but then nodded.
"Yeah, thank you for the soup" I eventually replied and she fake smiled at me. I did it back and she collected everyone's plates then left the room. My smile dropped
"I don't like her" I whispered harshly at Tyler as I half leaned over the table. He sighed and leaned back against his chair with his arms folded. I glanced at the clock. It was 5.58.
"Shall we go to the living room?" She asked as she came back in I smiled again and stood up closely followed by Tyler. We followed her back towards the front door then she turned right into the livingroom. There was a corner sofa on the door wall and an arm chair in front of the door with a glass table set in the middle of the room on top of an olive green rug. The TV was opposite the door facing toward the sofa. I took the armchair and Bonnie sat on the sofa opposite me and Tyler sat on the one facing toward the TV. Typical.
"Oh, yes, your earlier question before I interrupted you" she said "I am religious, as you might have guessed" she gestured to all the jesus stuff on the wall. "I'm a Christian-" I shuddered at the name "-But there are others religions" she carried on explaining all the religions.
-
So a half hour later, she's still ranting about religions. I glanced at Tyler and he sighed and stared up to the ceiling then I looked at the clock. 6.27.
"So that's Baptism and then there's-"
"-Look, Bonnie, I appreciate your religion and that, but I have somewhere to be, and your, well, you know, kinda boring" I interrupted. She was gobsmacked. Tyler grabbed a cushion to put over his mouth to hide his snickering.
"Excuse me-"
"See you later sister" I replied and stood up
"What are you laughing at?" She directed at Tyler
"It is kinda funny" he mumbled with that childish grin I remembered from all those years ago. I went to the front door and opened it. I could feel her behind me as I walked out.
"Your really rude, I'm actually sorry that Tyler's your brother, perhaps you should have stayed dead" she shouted from the door. She still wasn't getting her facts straight. I turned around and stormed up to her. I grabbed her by the scruff of her shirt.
"Your really inconsiderate, I'm actually sorry my brother dates you, and maybe you should take my place" I spat the last part and threw her down. "By the way, he's not the clean person you think he is, he likes to drink, he likes to swear, he even likes to race. He is exactly like his sister and no girl is gonna change that, we're family and your not gonna come inbetween us" I said and triumphantly turned and walked to my car. There wasn't another word from anyone and I sped away towards De Luca's
