On that night, I cried my heart out to Tyler and told him everything that had happened ever since our first race. He comforted me the whole night as we both lay awake talking about every mistake in our lives, which, crazily, made me feel better.
I got endless calls from Jake which eventually resulted in me blocking his number. He might've wondered if I was okay or, most probably, he was going to go on about how he wanted them guys to be alive.
And most importantly, There was nothing from Jayden, which, deep down, I was quite sad about. I missed him, I missed him a lot and I really just wanted him back.

"Hey, Elena, you remember that girl from the races last friday?" Tyler asked from the kitchen as I sat down in the livingroom
"Yeah!" I shouted back
"She's coming over today if that's okay" he replied.
"Yeah!" I shouted again
"I'm right here" his voice was suddenly closer. I looked up to him
"Sorry" I told him. He smiled pitifully at me. I turned back to the TV. "What's her name?" I asked him
"Katie" he replied. I nodded not looking at him. "She'll be here in an hour or so" he added and headed back to the kitchen. I stared back at the TV for a moment then got up and headed upstairs. I decided I was going to take a long bath and think things over. I had to stop moping around, I had to start getting over him, I had to face Jake at some point so why not now?
After my bath, I got dressed into jeans and a baggy white tank top and tied my hair up in a messy ponytail. I headed back downstairs.
"Hey Ty, do you mind if one of my mates comes and joins us tonight?" I asked.
"Yeah okay" he replied, straining his voice. He normally does that when he's concentrating on something and he was cooking the dinner so god knows what we'll end up with. I breathed a laugh then unblocked Jake's number to text him;
Wanna come to mine tonite for a meal?
He texted back almost straight away.
Yh sure, will talk then
I left it at that and put my phone down. I heard a clatter from the kitchen then a shout from Tyler
"Don't worry! It's fine!" I walked in and there was a couple of pans on the side that had fell down. I smiled
"Want help?" I asked with a sweet smile. He sighed then nodded, defeated. He'd done well doing everything for the week so I might as well help him tonight. We prepared the food then shoved it in the oven. There was spare food left on the table and me and Tyler both looked at each other with a cunning smile spreading across our faces. We ran to the table, grabbed the food and threw it at each other. We laughed wildly as we got covered in various foods. I heard the front door open and we both whipped round to see both Katie and Jake stood at the door, wide eyed.
"It was open" Jake pointed back at the door. A smile broke on mine and Tyler's face. Katie stifled a laugh as she looked us up and down.
"We'll go change" I said and we ran up the stairs, laughing. Luckily, I only had to change my shirt so I found myself another white tank top then headed downstairs. Tyler was already down wearing almost the same things as before. I headed over to them
"Oh! This is my sister, Elena, Elena, this is Katie" He introduced us. I smiled at her. She had her dark brown hair up in a messy bun with the wispy bits hanging free and she was wearing a tight purple vest top with a leather jacket and black skinny jeans. I smiled at her and she returned it. I headed into the livingroom where Jake was, standing looking out the window. I stood next to him
