It has been a week since we have moved to Australia. Dad has already started his job, so me and mum have stayed home, unpacking and rearranging the furniture.
"You ready to start school soon, honey?" Mum asked as she was cleaning the kitchen, and I was making dinner.
"Yeah, I guess. Just nervous, nothing unusual there." I laughed with mum and she smiled.
"You'll fit in perfectly. I promise, you will love it." She kissed my head and continued cleaning the kitchen.

I woke up the next morning, the sun blinding me through the curtains. I grunted before sitting up. School.
I kicked my legs over the side of my bed and hopped out, grabbing some clothes and a towel. I showered and changed into some blue skinny jeans, a white t-shirt saying "Nothing to wear" and a green army style jacket.
I dried my brunette hair, and put it in a high bun, accessorising it with a hair band. I put on some makeup, not too much though.
Some foundation, mascara and a bit of eyeliner.
I wasn't going to, but I decided to put a light pink lipstick on. It was pretty subtle though.
I walked downstairs, smiling at mum. "Morning."
I put on some black vans and walked into the kitchen. I grabbed an apple and munched on it, waiting for mum to drive me to school. I used to drive to school, but because you need a different driving license to drive in Australia, I can't yet.
The drive took about 15 minutes. I swallowed thickly as we stopped outside of the massive school. I hugged mum and opened the car door.
"Have fun gorgeous, make friends!" She laughed, and I waved, shutting the door. She drove off, leaving me stood like a muppet outside the doors.
I walked through the black gate, gaining stares from the whole population of Australia. Just as I was about to walk through the double doors to get into the school, I was confronted by 4 boys.
"Who are you?" One asked, his hair a bright green colour.
I stepped back slightly, looking up at them. They were all pretty tall.
"I'm new. My name is Lily." I mumbled quietly, looking at him.
"Speak up shortass." One laughed, bending down to my level and talking to me. He had dark brown hair, with a blonde streak in it.
I scoffed and walked away. "Where you going babe?" I don't know who shouted that, but it wasn't the one with green hair, or the patronising brunette one.
I was stopped in my tracks, by someone grabbing my bag and tugging me back. I pulled my bag away, and glared at them.
"What do you want?!" I asked, staring at the one with curly ish hair, who grabbed my bag.
"What did you say?" He asked, stepping closer.
My hands started to get all clammy and I looked down at the ground nervously. "I-I said, What d-do you want." I stuttered, my eyes making contact with him. His green eyes pierced into my brown eyes, making me feel extremely anxious.
He turned around to face the other three boys, a smirk on his face. "This is gonna be a fun year, lads."
I went to pull away again, but he grabbed my wrists, "Don't leave, we haven't introduced ourselves, how rude." He tutted, letting go of my wrists.
"I'm Ashton. This is Michael," He gestured to the boy with green hair.
"Calum," He pointed to the guy who was patronising af, with the blonde streak in his hair.
