Mikey Way walked down the street.

Everywhere he looked people were holding hands with the person they were created to be with.

That was the thing you were made for another person.
No one ever had to be alone unless you were still trying to find your soulmate, which was easy for most.

Mikey was doing just that. It wasn't like you could choose whoever you think you were meant to be with, no you had a specific person.

Everyone had a person.

Mikey rubbed his wrist; his hand slowly brushing over the bracelet he was given at the age of six.

That was the first thing they taught you in school, you learned what your bracelet meant, and how to tell if you had found your soulmate.

For the past twelve years of Mikey's life his bracelet had been "unreadable", which to anyone with a brain meant he hasn't found his soulmate yet.

Pete Wentz had his bracelet of course except, unlike Mikey he could really care less about it all.

He slept with whoever he wanted, not even checking if they were soul mates or not.

Pete was just looking for someone to pass the time until he found the one he was meant to be with.

He ran down the street heading towards his favorite salon.

He was getting his hair dyed a very bright shade of red.

He wanted to look great for the ceremony .

It sounded very official, when in reality they took all the people in the small town with the population of 6,779, who didn't have a soulmate, and put them into a room together.

All that did was the get the hopes up of people, who hadn't been able to find theirs.

When you turn sixteen you were officially on the look out for your soulmate.

The lucky people found them on there sixteenth birthday, but for Pete Wentz he was just too busy doing his own thing.

Mikey walked to his small one bedroom apartment and laid down on the couch.

That was all he had to sleep on.

A pull out sofa bed, he had never needed anything other than that so it seemed fit.

He walked over to his TV putting in A nightmare before Christmas, one of his favorite movies, and heading to the kitchen.

He made instant Rice, and walked back over to his couch.

He changed into clothing more comfortable, than the ones he had on previously.

He laid down on his couch beginning to watch his movie.

It was only five in the afternoon but there was nothing better to do.

He figured at 7:30 he would start to get changed and ready to go to the ceremony.

Pete got his hair dyed and made small talk with the lady who did his hair.

She had a soulmate and didn't find him until she turned twenty-eight.

Pete figured that meant there was still time for him to have small meaningless relationships.

He walked home to his okay-sized home although it was what was inside that mattered.

Pete still lived with his parents and saw nothing wrong with it.

They were glad to have him still in third household and would accept him until he found his own soulmate to be with.
