We were still in Boston. We'd be here for another 2 days. Me, Chris, and Scott decided to chill and watch some movies. The three of us were wearing sweatpants, I was wearing a sweater, Chris wore a t-shirt so did Scott. They felt like family. Chris had picked out a few movies, he picked out The One That Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest and The Little Mermaid. Scott picked The Lion King and Fox & The Hound. I picked The Fantastic Four and Aladdin. First we watched Chris's picks, we sang along to the Little Mermaid songs, we know them by heart. Scott's picks were next and we sang along to the Lion King songs, I love Fox & The Hound; it's a classic. Next were mine and we had to laugh at certain parts of Fantastic Four, we sang along to songs from Aladdin probably even danced a little bit. We sang very loudly to Friend Like Me. I was getting tired and ended up falling asleep on Chris.

Hayley had fallen asleep so I decided to carry her up to a bedroom. She was lighter than she looks. Her long brown hair was covering her face so I moved it from her eyes. She moved a little bit in my arms, thankfully we were at the bedroom door. I opened the door carefully and walked into the dimly lit room. Over the past few days Hayley has felt like family to me. I laid her softly in the bed. She looked so much like her mother. Since the day her mom told me that she had a daughter I couldn't help but smile. She talked about Hayley constantly. Hayley's brown hair scattered across the white pillow. I pulled the covers over her and a thin smile spread across her lips. I couldn't help but want to give her a small kiss on the forehead. She was like a daughter to me. Even though she didn't like me at first she slowly started to trust me. She turned to the side and got comfortable. Her mom was right; she looks like an angle when she sleeps. I bet down and gave her a small peck on the forehead making her smile again. I started towards the door but a small voice caught my attention.
"Goodnight.... dad" she whispered, I couldn't help but smile. That one word sent the best feeling of happiness to my heart. It warmed my heart. She needed someone in her life she could trust. She had lost her mom. And her dad at a very young age. I felt bad when her mom told me about her father. That poor kid went through bad stuff in life. I need someone like her in my life. We need each other. I'm glad I met her mother. I'm glad I met her. I'm glad I signed those papers not knowing what I was getting myself into. I couldn't help but feel happy. I walked out of the room and slowly closed the door behind me. I went back down stairs and Scott stared at me for a while.
"What?" I asked.
"What's with the wide smile?" He said pointing at my smile.
"Hayley called me dad" I said.
"That's cute. Chris I want you to make a promise to yourself. Never ever break this promise. You will always take care of Hayley, I want you to never lie to her. She deserves someone she can trust" Scott said.
"I promise" I said looking at my brother. I would never lie to Hayley, not after everything she's been through. We started watching Perfect Score after our little chat. Soon Scott left the room to go to bed. I did the same.

"Goodnight.... dad" I whispered. Wait.... Did I just say "dad"? He's gonna ask me about that isn't he? I know he will! Soon I found myself slowly drifting asleep again.
"Daddy please!" I begged, "can I please help you?!"
"No princess. I can't risk loosing $1,000" my dad said as he continued to fix the car.
"Can I at least give you things you need?" I asked.
"Sure. Can you go get me a juice box?" He asked smiling.
"Okay!" I said skipping to the kitchen. Mom was in the kitchen making lunch.
"Hey sweetie" she said messing up my hair.
"I need a juice box" I said putting my arms on the counter.
"Rough day, huh?" She asked acting like a Waiter.
"You got that right" I said pretending to wipe sweat from my forehead. That made her laugh.
"I know how you feel kid" she said in a Bostonian accent as she gave me a juice box. Apple juice. The best juice there is. I don't like grape juice. Dad walked into the house and took the juice box off the table.
"You stole my juice box" I said covering my heart sarcastically.
"You took to long" he said drinking my juice.
"Can I have another?" I asked.
"Sure thing" mom said getting another juice box.
"Cheers" I said holding my juice box up as mom got a juice box out for herself.
"CHEERS!" They both said as we hit the boxes gently together.
