**----Few Weeks Later----**
Houston.

~~~SHEHRY's POV~~~
"Why my car keys? Where is you mast mast tang?" I asked Waqas, keeping my hands on my waist.
"My car ran out of battery because Nosh thought it's ok to just park it in the garage and forget about it," he sighed, "now I need to charge it."
"Cuz He needs to take someone out on a date," Preet announced. She sat on the couch with Maha, helping her with her homework.
"It's no date ok, Nosh just wants me to take that newbie out for shopping," he groaned and I faked a cough.
"But you should always keep your options open," Preet smirked, "besides, she is quite nice. I like her."
"There are no options here, it's either Malvika or no one... You know what, I'll just get a cab," he announced quite rudely and walked out of the house.
I looked at Preet, who was already staring at me. She gave me a sad face and I sighed, "don't worry. We will sort it out soon."
~~~WAQAS' POV~~~

I walked out of the house and down the driveway. Blood shooting through my eyes. God! That girl is just Nosh's new neighbour and that's it!

Quickly calling for a cab, I walked down the road and waited for it. My mind kept going back to the same person; Malvika. How could she be so selfish? She promised she won't run away but, that exactly what she is doing. No phone calls, no chat replies, no updates whatsoever. She ran away.

She told me, this will help me move on. But it had only just made me fall even more. I miss her being jealous, her scowls, hugs, our fights, play time with Manik, versing him in video games, having him over at my place. I miss them.

I guess she just wants me to pay for what happened with Manik because of me. It was my mistake that I appointed that careless driver who took away so many lives, including his own. I can't thank Allah enough that Manik is fine. Or else I wouldn't have been able to forgive myself.

Wind slapped against my bare forearms and I was brought back to the reality. A white car stopped in front of me. I ducked down and found the same driver in it who had dropped me off here five minutes ago. Quickly sitting inside, I greeted him and we headed back home. Once the car stopped on front of my house, I got off and walked to the house on my right instead.

Seconds after I pressed the bell, Roop opened the door. All dressed up in a green kurti and denim. She had silver bangles in one hand and her brown handbag pulled up to her shoulder. Her hair were left loose and reached her hips. Straight and brown.

"Hi!" She chirped, flashing a hundred watt smile. I nodded, shoving my hands in my jean's pocket, "hey."

We stared at each other before she awkwardly nodded and stepped aside, "you want tea before we leave?"

I blinked, "yeah.. Uhh.. No, the cab is waiting."

She looked past me and frowned, "ohh. Alright."

I stepped backwards and she followed me after locking the main door.

"Have fun you two!" Nosh yelled from our first floor's window and I turned around to scowl at her. Why can't she take Roop for shopping? Ugh!
