ROOP's POV

"Are you sure ma'am?" Tara asked me again and I gave her a confident nod. "I am, my ride will be here any moment so you should go, I am fine."

She looked at her sister and sighed. "But it's getting dark and hardly anyone is here. We will wait until someone comes to pick you up."

"No," I shook my head at her and smiled, "I am fine. Really."

She thought for a good few seconds before nodding at me. "Fine. I'll see you in the morning."

I watched them driving away and hugged myself. The shoot was tiring. We did so much work today and we are still not even half way through the shoot. I had almost forgotten how much work it requires since after establishing my other stores, my staff looked after all this but, here everything is new and requires my attention.

But on a plus side, it was nice having him around. My right hand reached just below my left elbow, where he had held my arm, and I rubbed the area. His grip was so strong but it still felt nice, seeing his old- demanding self for a split second. The guy who would argue with me on little things, would tease me everyday, get annoyed by my love for Siddharth, would cuddle when I need it and make my life a hundred times better by just being in it.

I miss him. I miss us. A tear trickled down from the corner of my eye and I wiped it away instantly. Gulping, I looked up at the sky and heaved a deep sigh while my heart swam in the pool of my emotions.

"Roop?" I startled out of my thoughts when I felt a familiar presence behind me. I was sure he was only inches away from me; I could feel the heat emitting from his body and his soft, shallow breaths.

"Waqas," I breathed out as I turned around to face him. His eyes didn't meet mine; instead, they roamed around my face for a couple of seconds before he blinked and looked into my eyes.

"Thanks," he spoke, making me frown, "for the coffee."

"What coffee? I didn't—"

"I remember the taste," he spoke above my voice before I even completed my lie.

He knew I made it? "You remember?" I asked him, not being able to believe what I had just heard.

He chuckled, nodding at me. "I remember a lot of things that you don't."

What? "What?"

"Nothing," He muttered and looked away.
