Soo-Won x Reader : Worried

"What happened?" The new Emperor of the Kouka Kingdom yelled as he entered the room.

You were there, lying on your bed, unconscious. Soo-Won was staring at your sleeping figure, hoping you would wake up soon. He waited for the doctor's instructions before coming by your side to held your hand.

"She'll get better, sir. She needs to rest though. I let her in your hands."

The physician bowed before leaving the room, letting Soo-Won look at you with worry all over his face.

Here's the situation: you are a warrior and have always fought even when King Il was at the head of the kingdom. Perhaps you were a girl, but you were way better than a lot of men at handling swords.

Not only were you a combatant, but you also were engaged to Soo-Won.

And you, risking your life every day, didn't please him much... Though he was proud of you and accepted all your choices, he couldn't help but get worried and seeing you in such a state only made things worse.

Soo-Won sighed as he stroked your cheek with his hand, wishing for you to open your eyes swiftly, "I hate seeing you like this..."

He was scared and not ashamed to admit it. He had already lost too many people in his life and thinking that he same thing could happen to the girl he was in love with, deeply hurt him.

For about two hours, the new King stayed by your side, holding your hand in his as he felt his eyes getting sleepy. As he was about to fall into a deep slumber, he felt your hand move and quickly opened his eyes to see you stretching up a bit.

You yawned, as if you had just woken up from a wonderful night and instinctively tried to move until you noticed you were suffering from backache.

You cursed and swiftly opened your eyes, only to meet Soo-Won's intense gaze. You sheepishly smiled, knowing you had worried him, because of the look on his face.

"Where does it hurt?" He simply asked, with no specific emotion in his voice.

You furrowed your eyebrows before showing him your head, left leg and back. As you looked at your body, you saw all the bandages, trying to cover up your wounds and because of how hot you felt, you guessed you were running a temperature.

Soo-Won stood up and went to take a cure for your headache. He also brought a few other things to take care of your bandages.

"It might hurt a bit," he explained, "Not like you care about getting hurt. Or hurt others."

You closed your eyes and sighed, "Soo-Won..."

As you stared at his beautiful face, you noticed how serious he was. He was frowning and had his lips pursed a bit, indicating you he was about to sulk for a while.

He started changing your bandages, starting with your leg. You softly winced but tried not to say anything more, not wanting to upset your lover even more. Besides, you knew he was doing his best to be as gentle as possible.

Once he was done with your leg, he went over your face to take off your Band-Aid and put on new ones. His face was so close to yours that you could feel his warm breath against your skin, soothing you as you contemplated his attractive features.

"I'm sorry Soo-Won... You know I don't like worrying you," you explained as you lifted your hand up to his hair.

He stiffened a bit at your touch but quickly calmed down, "I also don't want you to be mad at me."

The boy sighed and looked away as he was now pouting with his cheeks puffed out. You couldn't help but let out a small laugh as you tried to sit, though you found yourself unable to.

"Don't move," he quietly added as he lightly placed you in a more comfortable position.

You simply nodded as you were tugging on his clothes, not letting him go. He noticed your hand and placed his upon yours before taking it to his lips and kiss it softly.

You blushed as you looked at him and the next thing you knew, was that he was hugging you, while still being very careful.

"I was so scared when they told me something had happened to you..." He admitted, his lips moving against your soft skin, "I don't know what I would've done if you weren't here anymore."

As he said that, you felt something run down your neck. You frowned as you realized he was crying, and drew circles on his back to try or make him feel better, "I won't ever leave you..."

He didn't answer and you started to truly feel bad for worrying him that much, "I'm so sorry..."

A few moments later, he finally got up and wiped off his tears before sniffing like a child, "You'd better be..."

You smiled widely before nodding and playing with his ponytail, until out of nowhere, you felt his gentle lips against yours.

"I need to take care of your back now..." He whispered as he parted ways.
