⇝ The crowd roared as 5 Minutes At A Time came on stage. When the girls looked around the arena and saw all the eyes looking at them, they felt very disoriented and Emma and Megan felt like they had forgotten the lyrics to the song.
They were more alarmed than ever, Sam waved at the audience and more cheering exploded. There was posters being held up throughout the crowd, most of which were directed for 5 Seconds of Summer . Yet, every once in a while there was a 5 Minutes At A Time poster being held up.
"Como você está hoje, Portugal?!" June asked in Portuguese as she held her microphone shaking like a chihuahua. The crowd roared in response. Megan looked at June surprised that she asked Emma, "She knows Portuguese?! Why didn't she mention that earlier?! I could've gotten a caramel latte at that coffee shop!" Megan complained which brought her to start calming down.
"She doesn't. That's why this is getting more and more weird." Emma replied to Megan as she adjusted her earpiece.
"Well, we're 5 Minutes At A Time, and we're so siked to play for you guys today!" June continued this time in English.
"I'm June-" June placed the hand she wasn't holding her microphone with on her chest, then she looked over at Sam who seemed to have less staged fright than the rest, but Sam looked at the audience with a blank expression before doing the same gesture as June, placing her hand on her chest as she said, "I'm Emma-"
Emma looked at Sam amused, "No you're not!" Emma laughed, "I'm Emma, she's Sam!" Emma pointed to Sam as she said Sam.
Sam seemed to come to her senses so she said in her defense, "I know! I was just checking if they knew!"
"Anyways!" Megan chuckled as she continued, "My name's Megan!"
"Alright, well are you ready to Rock What You Got, Portugal?!" June asked excitedly as she used the title of the lead single they were going to release in a few months officially recorded; the same song that got them to the finals in the X-Factor, in the question. This phrase was the sign for Ben to start up the recording of their first song. The song most of their fans knew.
The song began and the catchy rhythm filled the arena as slowly the crowd started participating in the song and started clapping to the rhythm.
June prepared herself for the beginning of the song.
"This one's for the beaten down, the ones who lost their rock and roll..."June began the song. Throughout the entire song, they sang it just like in the X-Factor and got he same response from the audience as they did when they sang it the first time in the finals. The only difference was the voice of Megan was added so the song sounded so much stronger in the combined chorused of all four girls. They were skipping around on stage, leading the audience in how they could participate in the song.
As they finished singing that song, they introduced their second song, "This one's a new one you haven't heard! We finished this in L.A. a few days ago! It's called Pretty Lies!" Emma announced to the audience before the new song played.
***(I recommend you listen to the song attached to this chapter so you can visualize or in this case, hear what the song would've sounded. My opinion might be a bit bias, but I think it's pretty awesome! :D)***
The music was much heavier and had electric music elements in the background, which made it seem modern yet mysterious and serious.
"Painted on porcelain..." Megan began the song in a legato tempo.
