Raven Haired Boy (10k Love Story)

Do i like him?

It was the body of cassandra that lay in 10ks arms. We all rushed to tenthousand. He lay her down in the truck, Doc examined her. Cassandra's arm was discoloured, and had visible veins popping out from her arm.
"Shes unconscious, her arm is badly infected, we need to get her help" Doc urged.

We all hoped in the truck hoping that we'd find an infirmary, or a hospital somewhere as quick as possible.

"Where did you find her?" I asked 10k
"Lying by a tree... I thought, i thought she was dead."
"Shes okay we are going to find her help."
"Yeh"

We had been driving for sometime now, we still had no supplies left, and Cassandra wasn't in a good state. If we didn't find what we were looking for sooner or later, well...

"You okay? You don't look so good " 10k says concered.
"Just didn't eat breakfast, thats all " i couldn't even think about without wanting to throw up.
" i don't think anyone ate it " he smiled.
"Here" he reached into his bag and brought out a bunch of twinkies.
I open up the yummy spongy delight, my stomach rumbled.
"Where did you get these?" I asked with excitement.
"Ive been saving them" he looked over the side of the truck. My stomach filled with butterflies.

We passed the army base that had been set up, there was no life left, a few old army tanks, and old corpses roamed about.

We had to stop for a break. "Okay lets split up, see if we find anywhere through the woods come back here in 20 minutes and if you need help fire your gun" Warren quickly spoke.

Me and Addy went together. "Do you think Cassandra will be okay?" I ask Addy.
"Mm... Well, if we find somewhere then Yea" she said swinging her bat around with on hand.
"I think 10k is worried about her" i said looking at the ground.
Addy stops walking and looks at me. "You like him don't you?" She smiled.
"N-no!" I feel my face going bright red.

Suddenly something grabs me from behind by heart races, i quickly turn round with my knife ready...
its 10k, he grabs my wrist with a smirk
"don't do that!" I shout nudging him.
he laughs.
We walk a bit and Addy catches me looking at 10k she nudges me give me 'the eyes'.
"Im going to head round again, see if there's anything" Addy said to us as she walked away.

It was just me and tenthousand. We walked side by side. I felt awkward. I just kept thinking about what Addy had said. I got knocked out of my thought when i felt my hand brush past a warm large hand. My heart filled up, i couldnt speak or say anything i choked on my own words... Maybe he didn't realise, hopefully. My friends always said i get embarrassed and overthink small things easily, My face was probably already bright red right now.
