Theory of evolution

A lot of music changes in a short amount of time...almost like technology. But something that doesn't change in one genre of music is guitars, a bass, and a drum set. Rock doesn't need to change to be good. It already is. Remember that old saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it?" Same rule applies.

Rock, as a genre, doesn't seem to be as competitive. People aren't trying to outdo each other like they seem to be in rap and pop. That is my theory as to why rock evolves much slower than other forms of music.

Computer input is another aspect. Not a problem, just an aspect. A little computer input has a really cool effect and compliments the guitar. Too much and you have a weird mashup with a lot of controversy. Just look at last chapters song. Three Days Grace - Chalk Outline. One of my most favorite songs of all time, possibly because it has a little input, but not enough to take over the song. Rock is slowly evolving, as computer input shows, but it's not over-engineered. It still has the fundamentals.
