When Adam left TDG, Matt Walst replaced him. Matt can't sing the old songs with the same energy because he didn't write them. Songs in Human, like Human Race, Landmine, and Car Crash are full of energy; Matt wrote AND sings them. Songs like Animal I Have Become (<3) and Riot just don't work with Matt. They aren't his songs. They'll never hold the same value to him as they did for Adam. This is true for more than just TDG, it's just my example.
