Rae'lynn

• two weeks later •

I woke up in the middle of the night because I had to pee. I gently released myself from Chris' embrace and went into the bathroom.

I soon realized that I started my period. Just great. I opened the cabinet and I only had one tampon left over here. This definitely wasn't going to last me the entire night, I had to go get some.

After I was done, I went back into the bedroom.

"Chris." I shook him to wake him up. "Baby, wake up please."

"Hmm?" He opened his eyes a tad bit.

"I really need to run to the store. Can you come with me?"

"I'll go for you." He mumbled.

"Really?"

"Yeah, mhm." His eyes shut again and he was out for the count.

I sighed and grabbed my purse. It's 4 in the morning, this should be quick.

I left the house and went to the nearest grocery store. I found one that was 24 hours and just five minutes away.

Walking down the empty aisles, I finally found my lady things and went to checkout. The cashier looked like he didn't want to be here as much as I did. It was a silent exchange and I was soon out of there.

It was extremely dark as I sped walked to my car. I had my head down and I heard a motor coming behind me. Thinking nothing of it, I kept walking. It was most likely another car parking.

All of a sudden, a force on my back caused me to fall on the ground. I fought to get up but they were on top of me. I screamed to attract attention but nobody was helping me.

They flipped me over somehow between my flailing and I saw it was a girl with a mask on. Her hair was hanging out from beneath.

She started to beat me up. Don't get me wrong, I can fight but this girl was at least 75 pounds stronger than me and I was losing my breath because she was kneeing my chest.

She went pound for pound straight to my face and chest. I was getting some hits and scratches in but I started to get tired and my voice was gone from screaming.

I started to fade in and out of consciousness and she got up. A van pulled up and a man got out. I couldn't see his face but he kept getting closer.

He leaned down close and whispered in my ear. "We meet again, my love."

Just as I was about to be out of it, I saw his face.

Then, everything went black.

Chris

The sun shone right in my face, waking me up. My phone read: 2 o'clock. Man, I was in the studio all day yesterday. I was out.

I turned over, expecting to see Rae, but she wasn't there. I didn't hear anything downstairs or in the bathroom, either.

"Babe!" I called, wiping my eyes. Maybe she had to go to work early. But no, she would usually tell me the night before.

I walked around the whole house and I still couldn't find her. I pulled out my phone and called her. Multiple times. Okay, not on no soft shit but I'm getting worried. This is not like Rae at all.

"Hello?" I called Andrea.

"Yeah, have you seen Rae?"

"No, I haven't talked to her since yesterday afternoon. Is something wrong?"
