My eyes burst open as I breathed heavily. I wiped my forehead and felt sweat. It was too hot. I ripped all of the covers off of me and say on the floor, thinking. These dreams are getting out of hand. Lately, I've been having nightmares every night but I haven't been saying anything. Especially to Chris, I didn't want to worry him over nothing.
In every dream, I was sitting in a chair with tape on my mouth and a shadowy figure stood at a door. As soon as I was about to see their face, I woke up. It's the same thing every single time.
Today was my last day in Philly. My flight left at 7 tonight. I did miss it here, honestly but my life is in Los Angeles. I just with my parents would move out there with me. Maybe I could convince them.
I got up and started to clean up. I showered and left my hair alone. I've been wanting to do something different with it lately, call me crazy but I want purple. I'll probably do it today.
Anyway, I chose my outfit. I decided on a black long sleeved crop top, patched blue jean shorts, a flannel around my waist and Moschino boots.
After finishing my makeup and spraying perfume, I left my room and went into my parents'. Mom was standing, putting in earrings and Daddy was sitting, fully dressed on his phone. I jumped on the bed, making them both look at me.
"Now I know I taught you better than to come jumping in here." Mom pointed at me, making me feel like a child.
"Chill, honey. Wassup baby girl?" I laid my head in his lap.
"I want to talk to you both about something."
They both looked at me, telling me to continue.
"I think you guys should move out to California to be closer to us." I pouted.
Daddy sighed. "Lynn, we've already discussed this, I don't think it's possible."
"Okay, just listen. You have sites all over the country, Dad and one of them is in LA so you could just build a headquarters over there. Plus, you both would get to see Shawn and I more often. I just think it will be better, so our family isn't so far apart."
"Honey, I'm with you but it's up to your hard headed father." Mom turned and continued whatever she was doing.
I looked up at my dad with puppy eyes.
"I'm not making any promises, but I'll see what I can do." He kissed my forehead. I squealed and hugged him. Usually, when he says that it means yes.
I left their room so they could finish getting ready. We were all going out to lunch together and then I had to leave.
I didn't want to just sit around so I told them that I would meet them at the restaurant on time. I got into my rental car and headed to the hair store.
The doorbell above the door rang and a petite, brown skin girl approached me.
"Hey, can I help you find anything?"
"Yeah, uh, do you have purple temporary hair dye?"
She nodded and I followed her into one of the aisles. The girl picked up a can.
"This is the best one. It's in the form of a spray and it washes right out or you could leave it in for about a week at a time."
"So you spray it in like hairspray?"
"Yep. You want to test it now?"
I smiled and nodded. She led me to the back where there was a mini salon set up. I sat down in the chair and she sprayed one front section.
