Willow's POV

I can't believe my mother. She bans Charlie, my best friend, from our house, tells me it's for my own good, and then leaves the next day to work with another celebrity far away! She is absolutely crazy! Well, she can't stop me from seeing Charlie if she's away, can she? The answer is a very blunt no. She can't.

I went to school the day my mom left, Monday, and I tried to find Charlie. I assumed he would have told his mom about it and that she took him to school today.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Charlie was no where to be found. I didn't even see him in the few classes I had with him! Yet, in each class, when they did role call, he said, "Here." as usual. Yet, when I looked back to see where he sat, I couldn't see him. It made no sense and it made me more upset that he was doing everything in his power to avoid me.

I knew Charlie wouldn't show up to our piano session today. So, as soon as the bells rang, signalling school was over, I gathered my stuff, and bolted down the hallways.

I ran outside, and I looked around quickly. I saw Charlie's mom's car start to roll down the parking lot, away from the school.

I ran as fast as I could after her car but I couldn't keep up. I stopped running and let out a deep breath of frustration.

I hopped into my Jeep and drove home.

When I got home, I threw my bag on the couch, put my keys on the key rack, and went back outside. I was gonna talk to Charlie whether he wanted to or not.

Before I knew it, I was at his front doorstep, ringing their doorbell. I usually would just walk in like I was another family member, but this time, I just felt like I needed to be more polite and sensitive.

Charlie's little sister, Mary, answered the door. Mary was seven years old, and was the most adorable little girl in the world. She looked just like Charlie, but with a cuter, rounder, more freckled face.

"Hellooo." Mary said in a silly voice.
"Well hello to you to Miss Mary." I always called her that.
"Charlie's in his room, crying again." Mary whispered to me.
"Gotcha. Thanks Miss Mary." I gave her a quick kiss on the forhead, and passed by her, also shutting the door.

Mary skipped away and I walked back to where Charlie's room was. I listened closely. Yep, that was definitely the sounds of Charlie crying. I hadn't heard it in awhile, but it was a horroble sound when I did hear it. It made me wanna cry.

I lightly knocked on the door. I heard him sniffling a little and then blowing his nose.

"Come in..." I heard his weak, trembling voice quietly utter.

I can't bare it.

I slowly opened the door. Charlie looked up, saw me, and turned away from me, to his left side, on his bed.

He knows there is no possible way I am letting him shun me like that. I layed down next to him  on his bed, and stared at the ceiling.

"Charlie, we both know I'm not leaving until you talk to me."
"I can't see you anymore. Your mom told me not too. Besides, even though I did get mad at her, I still respect her word. I can't see you anymore..." Charlie said quietly, still turned away from me.

That's it.

I climbed on top of Charlie and sat on his stomach until he finally layed flat on his back to face me.

He finally caved since his side was aching from my putting all my weight onto it and faced me.

His eyes were red and puffy, still with a few tears running down his face, and his nose was just slightly dribbly.

Still sitting on his stomach, I began to talk to him again.

"Charlie, you can't let my mom dictate you. You are a very responsible  and trustworthy person. You are my best friend and I will always love you and nobody can seperate us. My mom is gone anyways. She left this morning. Like she always does..."

"Willow I let your mom dictate me because even though I don't see her often, she is still like a second mother to me. And mine is yours. I have to do what she says. Mom's orders." Charlie told me in a still sad and trembling tone.

I wiped his remaining tears away and then kissed his forehead.

"I know. But as a teenager, we sometimes defy our parents rules, and this time, I have a feeling that the consequences will be worth it."

Charlie let out his same old Charlie chuckle and that's how I knew he had given in.

"Alright, now we have to figure out what costumes we'll be wearing for Jess's Halloween party at her house on Saterurday."
"Okay, but can you get off now? I think you're gonna make my spleen burst." Charlie said with a breathy laugh.

I got off of him but still acted fake offended.

"Hey, I'm not that heavy."

Charlie just rolled his eyes at me and laughed.

I'm glad I got him back. I honestly can't lose him. He is my favorite person in the whole world. I don't care what my mom thinks. Charlie was just trying to make me happy, like he always does. I love him so so much.
