Charlie's POV
Immediately after I asked Willow this, I decided it wasn't a very smart idea to ask that. I was now stressing even more because what if she asks me? What if she says stuff that suggests I'm just not her type at all?
Yet, when I asked Willow this, she gave me a look that showed so much surprise and she looked very caught off guard.
"Where did that come from?" Willow asked me, giving me a look that showed I was insane for asking.
"Uhm, well you were just discussing how much you find Dr. Reid attractive, it just sort of popped into my head I guess..." I reply honestly.
"Oh, okay. Well, I don't know... I don't really like talking about that kind of stuff..." Willow told me in a nervous tone. Why was she so nervous by this?
"Willow? You're acting kind of... Nervous? What's making you so uncomfortable?" I ask, unsure of her reaction still.
"Oh, uhm... Nothing. Nothing at all. I just... Yeah... Nothing." Willow was now acting extremely suspicious.
"Okay now you're lying to me, and I don't wanna go back down that road. What's up?" I ask her.
"I've never had a boyfriend, okay? It's just a really uncomfortable topic for me..." Willow confessed.
"Sure you have! I see guys ask you out all of the time!" I reply.
"Yeah. On a date. Not a real boyfriend. Not a real relationship. I mean, I have developed an opinion on what I like in a guy and what I don't, but none of those dates ended up in an actual good relationship. That's why it's a touchy topic for me." Willow explained.
"Oh... Now I get it... Well I'm sorry if I made you feel really uncomfortable Willow. I really am sorry." I tell her.Willow then put her hands in mine and linked our fingers. It made my hands feel numb from all the electricity I felt coursing through my veins.
"Charlie, you didn't do anything wrong. You could never make me feel uncomfortable. Unless you scraped your nails alone a chalkboard. Then I would have to cut your hands off." Willow said laughing.
"Please don't do that. And you never answered my question, and I could get the water instead if you like?" I tease her.
"Okay, okay! I'll give!" Willow says, putting her hands up defensively.
"Now when I say this, please don't think I'm in love with you or like you that way, but someone like you. Someone who is sweet, and truly cares about me, and laughs with me and likes to have fun, but knows what limits are. I know it's a lot of high expectations but that's what I want in a guy. Not some sleazy guy that acts like he doesn't care about anyone but himself." Willow told me truthfully. And that's what I was afraid of. Willow telling me that. I expected it, but it still hurts no matter what.
I just nodded and smiled.
"Charlie, would it be completely bad if I asked if you had any beer? Today's been way to much, and I just want a little sip. I won't get drunk or anything. I know my limits. Please?" Willow asks me out of nowhere.
Of course it eomis completely bad! This is so not like Willow, AT ALL. She has always been very against drinking. I mean, how would she even know her linits of she seemed so against it. But, I wanna make her happy... I'm gonna regret this and I know it.
"I guess it would be okay if we don't get drunk. Sure, I'll go get some from my house. My dad always has a couple in the fridge." I told her.
I wasn't to sure about this...
So, I quietly walked through my house, opened the fridge, grabbed a few bottles of beer, and ran back to Willow's house.
"Got the beer." I said, carrying in a bag full of bottles.
"Cool, let's bring them into the kitchen, I'll grab a bottle opener." Willow said.I brought the beer into the kitchen and Willow opened a couple up.
I took a good couple of gulps before I set it back down. So far, so good.
"So, what about you?" Willow asked, as she popped off the lid to our second bottles.
"What do you mean?" I asked, unsure of what she was talking about.
"What do you look for in a girl?" She asked.
"Oh. Well, I want a nice girl, of course that doesn't start drama or get into it very much. I also want a girlfriend that knows it's okay to have fun sometimes and that she has limits as well." I told her, my speech beginning to slur.I started to feel a little dizzy and tipsy, but I could still stand without falling over.
"Hey, are you good?" Willow asked, slightly concerned.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine. Watch I can still walk." I told Willow.I then walked without stumbling or falling and Willow seemed convinced I was fine. I mean, it was just my head that felt a bit off, but I'm okay.
Willow then popped off the lids to our third beers, and after that, I had no idea what we were even talking about. Everything just seemed fuzzy.
The rest of the night was fuzzy as well. Although I do remember hearing Willow say 'Goodnight Charlie', so I must've said my good nights before going to bed.
I also remember my head pounding and starting to hurt more and more so I fell asleep within seconds. The rest of the night was a complete blur.
