Charlie's POV
Today was the day. Saturday. Today was Halloween. And the day of Jess's party. I am super excited about it. I can't wait to be a cliche zombie with Willow.
It is 7pm and we need to be at Jess's house in about 2 hours. Willow was gathering all of our clothes and makeup that we needed to put on in front of me in her big bathroom.
"Now here is the shirt you need that goes with the pants you're wearing." Willow told me as she handed me a dirty cut up looking shirt.
As I watched her sort through the makeup, I took my shirt off, but before I put on the other shirt, I had to do something.
"Hey Willow." I said with a smirk.
Willow looked up and before she could say anything I flexed my muscles for her with an evil smirk on my face.
"You are such a pig. And a show off. Now put your stupid shirt on already." Willow said, but I knew she wasn't actually mad at me. I had done this a couple times before and it always got to her.
I laughed maniacally and then proceeded to put my shirt on.
Willow then started to apply the zombie makeup to my face, neck, arms and legs. I had pale/dead looking skin, and rotting flesh looking stuff everywhere she applied makeup.
Willow then put her own makeup on and we were ready. It took two hours two put all of this stuff on, so, we can go to Jess's house right now.
We walked to Jess's house since it wasn't that far away. Neither were any of our other friends. How am I just now realising how perfectly placed our houses are? Nevermind that.
Anyways, we arrived at Jess's huge house and there were already sooo many kids from our school there. We walked inside and, knowing Jess, we went straight to the bobbing for skulls game. (Jess is super competitive.)
Jess was drying her face with a towel. Her Red Queen costume makeup had run down her face by now but she didn't really care if it meant she could win. Which she did.
"Hey guys! You look amazing! Love the cliche zombie look. I knew that Willow wouldn't seriously go as a zombie unless it was ironic or cliche on purpose."
"Haha thanks Jess. You look amazing! Other than the whole runny makeup, but I know that it was worth winning to you." Willow said with a laugh.
"Yeah. Hey Willow, can I talk to you about something?" Jess asks, seeming a bit worried.
"Uhm of course you can Jess. What is it?" Willow asks.
"Alone. I need to talk to you alone. Just you and me." Jess says in a serious tone.
"Uh... Is it...?" Willow asks, without actually naming something.
Jess nods. Willow tells me she'll be back in a second. Is there something I'm missing here? Probably just girl stuff.
About 15 minutes later, Willow came back without Jess.
"Is everything okay?" I ask, just making sure.
"Ya ya. Jess needed something from me real quick." Willow said, half not answering my question.
"Like what?"
"Girl stuff Charlie. Need I go into deeper detail?" Willow tells me, cocking an eyebrow.
"I think I got the picture." I tell her.
Willow nodded. All of the music stopped playing. We saw Jess become higher then the crowd my standing on a wooden crate.
"Everyone! We are gonna play a little game now. You'll notice that we're handing out paintball guns. If you'd like to participate, we are gonna play some paintball outside. If you do not wish to join, stay inside. Rules are very simple. If you get shot with a paintball you're out. You are allowed, at the most, three players on one team if you wanna make teams. No tripping, and no hitting. May the best win!"
