The last Chapter...
I walk over to the small window and look out. There isn’t much to see though. I turn around as 3 humans and 2 were’s come in. One of the humans is Mr Wiggins. I eye him carefully. The oldest looking man coughs drawing my attention. ‘Treat all your vampire guest like this.’ I throw at him. ‘No you’re the first.’ He says in a scratchy voice. ‘Not a very good achievement catching me though.’ He makes a sound that might be a laugh. ‘Why not?’ I stare at him. ‘Firstly I’m three years old and secondly I fed at least two days ago.’ I turn to Mr Wiggins. ‘Though I must say your blood was very memorable.’ His eyes look down. ‘You bit him?’ I nod. ‘Well Paul you know the punishment for being bitten by one of them.’ I look at the man. ‘What is that?’ the elderly man turns to me. ‘Death.’ He says raising a stake to Paul Wiggin’s heart. ‘Stop’ I shout Paul looks at me happily. ‘Let me do it.’ Paul sinks again. ‘Why.’ The first man asks. ‘He tried to kill me I want to do the honours.’ The man holding the stake nods then throws Mr Wiggins to me. ‘Please make it quick.’ He begs. I smile. I turn him around and tilt his head to the side and lean down. My fangs make small indentations in his flesh. I let them pierce and drink until he is almost dead. Then I pull out and show the hunters the closed marks. Then I quickly snap his neck. The crunch is loud enough that even the humans wince. I drop the body and kick it towards the were’s. ‘Wow.’ One of the Were guards say. ‘Now what did you come here for then?’ I ask growing impatient. ‘Just to check you out and I am surprised to see you are so young.’ I smile and turn around to the bed. I sit on the edge.
That’s when Cole walks in. ‘You wanted me to watch over the bloodsucker sir’ the men nod then they all leave except Cole. ‘What are you doing here?’ I whisper. ‘This is my way of showing Sierra I am more one of them then a were.’ I shake my head. ‘I’m not going back.’ I say staring at the floor. ‘Please Cammie. Sierra needs you. The were’s planning a move against the vampires but Sierra won’t do anything about it. She just stay’s in your bedroom hoping you will come back. She won’t drink and she’s so weak.’ I take this in. ‘Ok take me to her.’ Cole sighs. ‘Thank you.’ I stand up off the bed and walk over to him. ‘Ok how do we get out?’ he smiles and holds up a set of keys.
Once we get out of the forest I start to feel nervous. Sure I had confronted them and told them goodbye but would they forgive me? Cole is a step behind me as I walk up to my front door. I fish under the door mat and grab the spare key. I turn it in the lock and hear movement behind it. I push it open and step in. there are a dozen guards stood there ready to attack. ‘Sierra’ Cole calls. The guards scatter as she down from upstairs. Jane is supporting her around the middle and she can barely stand. I rush over and stand at the bottom of the stairs. Her face lights up when she sees me. The guards shuffle behind me. I turn to face them. ‘I swear to god if any of you touch me I will walk out that door and not come back.’ as if to prove a point they all move even closer. ‘Listen to her.’ Sierra manages to croak. She shakes Jane off her and tries to walk the rest of the way down the stairs. But when she is almost there she stumbles and loses her balance. I run it catch her.
I pick her up easily and take her to the living room. Carefully I place her on the sofa. Then I offer her my wrist. Her long fangs pierce it smoothly and I feel her drink. ‘Better?’ I ask kneeling down and taking back my wrist. She nods. ‘Someone go get her blood.’ I command. I hear someone leave the room. They come back seconds later with 4 bottles. I offer Sierra the first and she drinks it in moments.
By the fourth bottle Sierra is sat up. ‘You came back.’ she says happily between sips. ‘How long are you staying?’ She adds. ‘Indefinitely.’ I say smiling. She hugs me hard and I almost faint. ‘Ok now it’s my turn for some blood.’ I say I stand up and walk to the door. ‘Cammie you will come back won’t you?’ I nod and walk to the door.
James catches up as I leave the garden. ‘Cammie.’ He exclaims. ‘Your back?’ I nod. ‘Where you going?’ I turn to him. ‘Hunting. I’m weak after feeding Sierra.’ He smiles. ‘Can I come?’ he says hopefully. I nod. ‘James I have an Idea of how to find her.’ Jane says as she drops in. ‘No need.’ James says stepping aside. ‘Cammie.’ She squeals before hugging me quickly. ‘Hey.’ I say smiling. ‘Hunting?‘ She assumes. I nod as we walk on. ‘What made you come back?’ she asks. ‘Cole breaking me out of a were prison.’ She hisses. ‘They dared lock you up.’ She growls. She goes to run in the direction of the forest but I restrain her. ‘No’ I command. She stops trying to run but is still tense.
I’m in the middle of feeding when I feel something wrong. I stop. James and Jane notice I’ve stop and also drop their meals. ‘Cammie?’ I hold up a finger silencing her. ‘Sierra is in trouble.’ I say after a moment of silence. Then the smell for smoke reaches my nose.
