I took off running. I could hear the whispers behind me, the tales of all who had failed.
"The dragon," they whispered, "the dragon is coming." Then they cackled, as if laughing at my death, watching it in the future.
"Keep running." one of the voices yelled. It sounded as the voice of a monster, "Run and don't look back. Even if you hear one of your friends, don't look back."
It was a straight path. No turns, no other choices, just this one. I ran on as quick as I could, stumbling, but still moving on. It seemed that the hedges were grabbing at my ankles, trying to twist or break them, to get me to stop. To give up.
Suddenly, the whispers stopped except one. I approached a new area. It was filled with sunlight, moonlight, and all the stars. It showed paths. One, dark and scary. Another, flowers and faeries.
"Whichever path you choose will seal your fate."
The obvious choice was the light path, filled with happiness.
"Choose your side of the story."
Side of the story? What does the voice mean? The story of the world? As I stepped closer to the light path to examine it for traps or flaws, a hedge had finally grabbed my ankle, and threw me in.

"Give up Lunette! I will win! The natural order of the world is chaos!"
"That may be so, but it is our job to keep the world in check!" Lunette yelled as she swung her sword at Sombre.
"We've been fighting for days, even though we are the most powerful sorceresses in the world, we'll have to retire soon!" Sombre explained as she blocked Lunette's sword.
"Fine!" Lunette yelled, but this was the battle for the fate of the world, "Let's split the world in half!"
Sombre glared, "Why do that, when I could have it all?" she said as she threw a dagger at Lunette's back, stabbing her in the shoulder.
Lunette turned, shocked, "Sombre, you have under estimated me." she pulled out the dagger, caked in white blood, "Ego vicero!"
"What?!?" Sombre screamed, the ground coming up and trapping her so she was unable to move.
"Sombre, you shall be banished to the Forbidden Kingdom. Take your subjects, take your army. I am merciful. No one of your blood and a resident of this land shall be able to cross the border." Lunette stated, and turned away. "Call the sisters, have them set up a training area for our leaders. We have to make sure that the heirs don't realize how much danger they're in. Tell my sister she must hide in the human world."

I had finished crashing down the long drop. What was that dream? The fighting sisters? What the heck?
I looked around, I had fallen into a meadow. Wasn't I just in the maze? It'd have to be part of the maze then. What obstacle would I face today?
Suddenly, I spotted a boy with black hair, blue eyes, and a wide smile only about six feet away.
"Thomas? Is that you? Oh my goodness I've missed you so!" I yelled.
Thomas nodded, "Hey sis, how ya doin?"
"Oh, it's been swell! I'm on this adventure! I get to save the world! It'll be tough, but Dalair and Wilona will help me!" Then, I noticed his frown, "What's wrong?"
"Come home. I miss you." He cried, cupping his hands around his face.
"Oh Thomas, I miss you too, but you're eight. You'll handle it! You're strong, look at you!" I told him to lighten up the mood.
"Mom and dad say for you to come home, now!" He screamed, "COME HOME SIS!"
"NO!" I told him, "I am not coming home."
His eyes went wide, again he screamed, "COME HOME SIS!"
"No! I need to help these people! No one cared about me and look how well that turned out! Everyone needs someone to care about them! It's my job! It's my duty to HELP THESE PEOPLE!!!" I screamed.
He stopped. "I understand. Go and save your people."
Without warning or logic, my mother and father stood next to him, "Honey, this may be hard to hear, but please come home. We understand that you need to save your family, but-"
"My family?!? You are my family! I have your eyes, mum. I have dad's colored hair! You remember me being born." I cried.
"Honey, we're just the host family, they found us- people that look like you. I still can't believe you've never noticed you have wings..." My father said.
"No matter who they are, I will still help them!" with that sentence, my family was sucked into the ground, but they didn't scream.
"That couldn't have been real." I whispered, checking behind me. No wings.
In the distance, near the far off mountains, I finally saw the dragon. It was a fiery red, circling the cave it was guarding.
Up on the mountain were two figures, looking like Dalair and Wilona.
"Again! I'm late! Why am I always the last one to get places?!?"
