A soft, melodic sound drifted into Rosalie's dream beckoning her to wake.
She was slowly walking toward the lights
Following the sound of that beautiful and magical harmony.

The musician who had her in his charms was humming to a song, she had never heard before.

It was a wonderful melody.

The mists of the night, were slowly disappearing, leaving place to a new day...

What time was it?

The sun already high on the sky was deliciously caressing her face, despite the high curtain of threes that covered Valmer's north facade.

Her bed felt different. But strangely more comfortable. Besides the fact, that it felt a bit harder than it usually was, and the blankets were rougher.
But they caressed her body so deliciously...

Rosalie stretched her limbs before cuddling herself further against the blankets, in a more comfortable position.
She kept her eyes closed, enjoying the music and the warmth, her bed offered.

Moments later all the memories came  flashing back on her mind. Events full of pain, torture and quick escape. And some field with reminiscences of sweet dreams.

This bed wasn't hers... She had left her home, she was out in an unknown world, on her own...

She remembered precisely the torturous humiliation inflicted by her uncle, and her goodbyes with Louise.

She remembered how dark it was in the secret passage, how her hands trembled while holding the candle and how scared she was to get caught.

And then there was that strange inn, that dirty room full of scurrilous people...
And that horrible men, who didn't understand why she was asking for a room to sleep, and a place in the stable for her mare.

She didn't understood his words either, and she didn't liked the way he stared at her...

Of course he couldn't know he was addressing to a noble lady, but were all the commoners that rude? She couldn't believe it.

And then,  there were those Royal Guards.

At that moment she did understand what their intentions were and their misunderstanding regarding her.
They took her for one of those girls, who sold their bodies for money. She remembered what her maids told her about them. That  mysterious sin...

Then from shame and exhaustion she felt at the edge, when miraculously, a prince charming with beautiful, shining green eyes, appeared out of nowhere and saved her.

He was the most alluring knight she had ever seen... as if coming straight out her dreams or those stories her mother used to tell her when she was a little girl.

Her memories ended right at that moment. She didn't remember any further. She must have fainted.

She only could remember, voices full of tender, sensations of appeasement, softness, perfumes of ointments, soft hands touching her skin...

It was only a dream... but a beautiful dream nonetheless ... she smiled.

"Oh, she smiled!!"
a cheerful voice said
"She must have remembered our wild nights!!"

Was she still sleeping? She remembered that voice: deep, husky and a little raspy. It was her prince charming.

So he was real? She didn't want to open her eyes and break the charm. But she had to, the curiousness was taking over her.

She slowly opened them.

A few inches from her face, her savior's green eyes were observing her, his plumbed pink lips smiling at her.
