She sat on a small rock, watching Seafang take away the two cats. 'Have I made the right desision? Should've they been accepted into the clan?' I looked at my white paws. 'I don't know.'
"Whitestar!" She heard a familiar voice behind her. She turned her head, and the fluffy black cat came bounding over to her. "I'm ready!" Eager Fangpaw.
Whitestar purred. "Good morning. Every day, it seems you wake up earlier and eariler. How are the rest of the apprentices in the den?"
"Oh. They're...still sleeping."
Whitestar knew his sense of humor by now. Whitestar couldn't help but let out another purr, and Fangpaw did the same. "Oh Fangpaw, they're training now, aren't they?
"Just about. But c'mon, let's go! At this pace, Ivypaw and Thistlepaw are going to become warriors 100 moons before me!"
Whitestar hopped off the rock. " Today, I'll train you for battle, like yesterday. This is a move that would give you controll quickly. We call it the tail yank. Simple enough, just pull your opponent's tail as hard as you could. So now, prentend I'm your enemy."
Whitestar leaped toward Fangpaw, and jumped at the perfect angle to leap and pin Fangpaw. He doged Whitestar's attack and bared his teeth a little harder than she thought he would bite, and pulled her tail. She hit the ground with a thump on her back, but flipped back up.
"Good job, ecpecally on your first try!" Whitestar complimented. "Now that you brought your opponent down, you can try to pin them to gain advantage over them in many ways. Once you have the opponent on the ground, and if you attack me the way you just did, it would be easy to flip them over and pin them. So now, try to pin me. I'll attack the same way I did, because most times, pinning a cat happens mostly when they land incorrectly, perferably from the air."
Whitestar hopped again, and before she realized it, he grabbed her tail just as hard as last time, forceing her to the ground with even more force. Fangpaw hopped, but slipped so his backleg landed on her belly, knocking the wind out of her.
He fixed his positon, but quickly hopped off. "Are.. You okay?"
Whitestar nodded and pulled herself to her feet. "That'll be it for now. I'll... see you later today for continuing."
"Are you sure you're okay?" Fangpaw asked, with a deeper concern.
"Yes Fangpaw. Just give me some time."
Her apprentice nodded, and turned around to go back to the heart of the camp. Whitestar sat on the small rock again. Her pelt resembled the snow around her, with a cap like spot on her head with drip of black running down all the way to her tail. She recovered slowly, her belly feeling better from the heavy blow.
Now her belly began to feel unsettled after a while, so she lied down on the cold rock. The wind began to pick up, blowing the flurries faster, and making more fall, as if it were stars from sliverpelt falling to earth.
She closed her eyes and shifted off into a light rest while the snow settled on her fur.
Darkness engulfed the forest, and she couldn't detect where she was. The scents she picked up were unlike any near her camp- or for that matter, even the mysterious scents in this forest are different from the forest back at her home.
Suddenly, she heard a screetch from far away. Whitestar jerked her head in the direction it came, seeing an evil, rather familiar cat prance on her. He knocked her to her belly, and no matter how hard she tried, Whitestar couldn't regain strength back.
The cat moved his jaws, but she couldn't hear anything. He slashed at her face, but she felt no pain. She didn't even feel any pressure, and her head was still.
A calm voice from behind her mewled, "Sorry about that. Your dream wasn't meant to show you that."
Whitestar looked behind her, and immediatly realized who the black pelted . 'Tippystar! I'm so happy to see you again!"
He smiled, and suddenly Whitestar began to float. "Who wouldn't be?" He began. "When a cat's attacking you, you wouldn't hate the cat who saved you."
Whitestar let out a quiet purr before Tippystar continued. "Come with me."
They began walk-floating to the top of a hill. Whitestar touched the cold snowy ground, and Tippystar remained floating a mouse tail above the ground. "You must listen to these words and hang on to them. There is a horrible past in which two groups share. Know what to do, but don't do the wrong thing. Without you, snow will fall and so will they all. Do what is best, Whitestar. Starclan's counting on it."
The scent patterns changed, and Whitestar began to feel a shiver spread out from her body. She detected her apprentice, Fangpaw's scent.
"Whitestar! Are you okay? For real?" Whitestar opened her eyes, seeing her apprentice stare at her wild-eyed.
"Fangpaw? Oh yes, I'm okay." Whitestar shook her head to remove the extra snowflakes that fell on her head.
"Does this mean more training today?' Fangpaw perked up.
'No, I'm sorry. I...I have to sort things out first." Whitestar mewed, standing up and begining to walk.
'Tommorow then, right?" Fangpaws ears drooped down, his tail drooping as well.
"Yes, definitaly tommorow." Whitestar mewed once more before leaving Fangpaw and returning to the leader's den. 'I have to sort this out. I have to remember what Tippystar said. Know what to do? I have an important task ahead of me.' Whitestar curled off, feeling another shiver. 'So important, Tippystar himself had to tell me. Not even wait for me to come to the situation. He even said Starclan's counting on me. How come he couldn't just tell me?' Whitestar shook her head, and warmed her nose in her tail. 'Starclan never tells you.'
