Chapter Two:
I didn’t wait for an explanation. As soon as the door was closed, I pulled the mace I always carry out from my pocket and got the hottie from the potty line square in the eyes and mouth. When I heard movement from behind me I spun and ducked at the same time throwing a punch that connected perfectly with his family jewels. He went down with a choked sob and both hands cupping his damaged goods. I maced him too for good measure.
The hottie was swearing as he managed to pry his eyes open, tears streaming down his face. I ripped the duct tape off my sister’s mouth and started working on her feet when she yelled, “Watch out!”
I turned in time to catch a punch right on my cheekbone. I saw stars for a second and it was long enough for him to get on top of me and start bashing the hand that had grabbed hold of my mace again.
I squirmed for all I was worth but his grip wouldn’t loosen. He leaned in close and said, “I’m gonna enjoy this you little bitch.”
Little? I’m five eleven.
His sick smile pissed me off enough that I decided to go for broke and head butted him in the nose. He screamed as blood started to pour freely from his now broken and much less perfect nose. He let go of my hands to cover his face. I took the opportunity to punch him in the gut as hard as I could and managed to push him off me at the same time. His buddy tried to get close enough to hold me down but with my freed legs I released a viscous kick to the same area I had punched earlier. He went down again right on top of his friend. For good measure, I stood up and kicked him in the temple which I heard was a pretty good way to knock someone out. Turns out the rumours were true.
I finally got Sam’s legs untied with my shaking hands and we made a run for it. We didn’t get too far.
As soon as we left the shed from hell, we were met by five more guys who gave off the same creepy vibe as the two assholes I’d just taken out.
“Oh thank God,” my sister said, sobbing. “There are two guys in there trying to kill us!” She motioned to the shed behind us. I could hear some grunting and struggling coming from inside. Sounded like the guy on the bottom wanted to be freed.
No one said anything. Instead they started to collectively move toward us.
“Wait, what are you doing? Aren’t you going to call for help? Hello! Damsel in distress here!” Sam’s voice was moving into hysteria.
They kept advancing. I was shaking I was so pissed off and scared. People shouldn’t be doing this. What the hell did they want from us? I could feel something rising from within me. At first I thought I was about to throw up but that wasn’t quite the right sensation. Tremors started running through my body and I closed my eyes and felt a strange energy flow through me. What the…?
“Stop!” my sister yelled and I opened my eyes in time to see her fling her arms up at the guy who came closest to her. At the same time I felt all that energy that was building inside of me release.
Then the bad guys started flying backwards with shocked looks on their faces.
Huh?
They landed with hard thunks about twenty feet from where we were standing. One of them landed on a picnic table and I heard a sickening crack.
“What did I just do?” I turned to see my sister staring at her hands as if she’d never seen them in her life.
“You?” I asked, confused.
