As I walked into the gymnasium, a gasp sliped out from my mouth. Purple and blue fabric were draping the walls, and on the fabric, there were silver and gold stars… that made constellations! More silver and gold stars were hanging from the ceiling, except they looked so life like… David and I started to head towards our group of friends, when suddenly I hear him scream,
“What the…? Look out!” I turn to where he’s pointing, and see a silver streak, headed right for us! I felt David pull me down, just missing the silver sparkle. When it hit the wall, it just… disappeared. What in the world was that? Bridgette, Shaylessa, Tally, Amreen, Benjamin, and Zack all burst out laughing.
“Y-you should have seen the l-look on your faceeee!!” Screams Tally, almost falling over laughing.
“H-here! I can show you!” Says Shaylessa, and showed a horrifying, wide-eyed look, apparently looking like me. The group burst out laughing again. Even David! I gave him a playful glare, and he suddenly stoped in his tracks, cleared his throat, and gave me a shy smile. I just linked my arm with his and rested my head on his arm.
“Oh F*ck, that just made my day!” Giggled Bridgette, whipping a tear from her eye from laughing so hard. I pretend to be mad and playfully stuck my tongue out at her, but then started to giggle as well.
“Did you guys see David’s face?” Remarked Amreen, still laughing over Shaylessa’s face.
“Oh S*ht,” I heard David mumble under his breath. But it was too late. Amreen was already imitating him, another horrifying look, except it was even funnier that Shaylessa’s! The group burst out in chuckles and giggles again. This time, I joined in. David gave me the same look I gave him, but I kept laughing.
“You do realize that was a shooting star, right?” says Benjamin. I took a closer look up at the ceiling. Ben was right! It was a shooting star! The stars on the ceiling were real! This school is so awesome.
Tally fluttered her eyes and said in a sing songey voice “Zack, would you please get some punch for me?” Zack just smiled, and walked toward the punch table.
“Oh! Could you get some for me too David?” I asked. He smiled, kissed me on the cheek, and walked with Zack.
Bridgette started to flutter her eyes and skip a little, imitating me and Tally, then sang “Oh Benjaminnnn! Will you go get us some punchhhhh?” Ben stared at her for a sec, then said,
“No! Go get your own punch!” Amreen walked up to him and said “That wasn’t an option, go!” Benjamin started to protest, but everyone knew whatever Amreen said, goad. She pointed to the punch table and said in a very forceful voice “GO!!!” Finally, Benjamin sighed, and walked over to the punch table, his head hung down in shame.
We all burst out laughing and congratulated Amreen. She just smiled. Tally turned to me and screeched,
“Oh my Gosh! You and David are so cute together!” I smiled and said “Well, you and Zack are adorable!” Tally just smiled, blushed and muttered a “yea…”
The boys came back with our punch, David with mine, Zack with Tally’s, but I think Benjamin decided to show off a little. He brought over Shaylessa’s, Bridgette’s, and Amreen’s drink using a levitation spell. The three cups hovered over to the three girls and were gently placed in their hands. We all started clapping and cheering. Benjamin just took it all in, bowing and putting his arms in the air. As soon as we were done our punch, the song “Single Ladies” came on. All of the girls in our group screeched, and ran on the dance floor, singing along with the song. Zack started to freak out, (apparently he loved the song, who knew eh?) and ran to the dance floor, dragging David and Benjamin behind him. The three of them cleared a space on the dance floor, and started dancing! They did all of the moves perfectly, and Zack was singing while dancing,
