I sulked the whole way home. Hoping that my father wasn't to disappointed in me. I walked up the stairs and sat down in my window seat in my room. This was going to end badly I know it. I am so done with Devon and his supposed mate. That girl is a horrible spoilt brat and she needs to just stay the Hades away from me. I dont want to be friends with her nor do I want to get to know her better. If I get in good with the guy that assigns us our stations I will request that if he puts me on either her or Devon to make it a silent detail. One of the ones that are never seen, but do all the dirty work. I don't mind. I will do my job as I do not have to interact with them. This has been the best and the worst day of my life.

Then that is when I heard the front door open and close. I tensed up and just waited. I am not sure if I am ready or not for this. I waited to hear my fathers knock on the door. I know he was upset at me and told me to go home before anyone said or did anything they shouldn't have. He wanted to be able to help me out if I needed it. That is why I moved and went home so fast. I knew what I did was wrong and I would have to suffer the consequences. I heard the faithful knock and walked over to my door to let my father in.

I opened the door and there he was. He had his unreadable face on and looked me over.

"Are you done pouting?"

"Yes father."

"Please follow me downstairs."

"Yes Sir."

I closed my door behind me and began to follow him to the front stairwell. I was dreading what me coming downstairs meant. He had his office and the front sitting room this way. What could possibly be happening. Oh no. What if he brought her here to talk to me and work this out. I didn't want to see her. He was going to force me to be nice to her. I am mentally face-palming myself and wishing I could run upstairs. I took in a deep breath and waited to see where we were heading. That is when I saw the room full of people. Not only was Sarah there, but Devon was standing beside her. The Alpha and his son alongside Warrior Ethan as well. My mother and brother were standing back waiting for my dad to approach them.

I stopped at the bottom of the stairs and looked at them all. Sarah had a sour face on and a black eye that was slowly healing. Devon had a face of longing. Like he wanted to come up to me and take me in his arms and protect me. I just mentally soured at the thought. How did I go from loving this man so much that I couldn't live with out him to wanting to punch his nose. I couldn't read the rest of them so I decided to just stop and wait until someone told me what was going on and where they wanted me to stand.

"Penelope, please come in. We need to have a talk." said the Alpha.

I walked further into the room making a point to glare at Sarah and then stood in front of the Alpha and his son. I bowed my head out of respect and waited for what was to come. I just knew that he was going to kick me out of warrior training. I was holding back the tears and making sure that I didn't show how upset I was to everyone here. I regret what I did and if I had to apologize to that bitch just to get back into training I would do it. I would quack like a duck or even become her personal slave just to stay in training.

"Penelope, you may look up at me." So I stopped staring at my shoes, held back my tears, and stared our Alpha in the eyes.

"Thank you, Sir."

"Thank you. Now, to get straight to the point. I do not know why what happened early happened. Nor do I want an explanation. I want to offer you your spot in Warrior training still. But, with a condition. "

My eyes started to water with happy tears now and I almost started jumping up and down. But, my father had trained me well on how to interact with an Alpha. Even one that had watched me grow up. And I along side his son. I knew that I still needed to treat this respect and not look a gift horse in the mouth. I couldn't help it though I still spoke before he was finished.
