It had been about three months of me being in the training and you could tell that I was getting bulkier and stronger. My wolf was pleased with how we were training. We didn't just train in our wolf form we also trained in our human form. We made a point to work both our forms out as much as we could. The other female had already dropped from the group so I was the only one left. There were two of the males that had left as well. One was Joseph on his own accord because of family issues and the other one I never got his name, but because he wasn't able to keep up he was no longer with us. He really only lasted about two weeks. Sometimes when this happens it just means its not in their blood to be strong and a warrior. I was glowing in excitement as I was standing in the field of the green room waiting for Nathan to make his first move.

He was a strong wolf I had to admit. If I didn't know that he had been with a ton of she wolves and even ruined a few relationships I would have fallen right into that same hole. Me and him had a heart to heart and I told him it would never happen between us. I said we can stay friends and if he flirted fine, but know there would never be anything more than that. He laughed at me until he saw I was serious and just backed off. I think him being a guy he thinks that he may still have a chance, but I wont ever give it to him. I still really cared and wanted Devon back.

Nathan was already glistening of sweat and looked ready to pounce at any moment. They all had been trying to hold back when we sparred and it was starting to get to me. I was a strong warrior bloodline that could handle it. If I was going to defend against another male that had no feelings or need for me anymore I would have to know what the full strength of a wolf would entail. This started to upset me. So, I finally made my own move and got down and swiped my foot at him in order to get him off balance. I knew it wouldn't take him down, but it would get his attention. It did. He went to grab at my foot and that is when I kneed him in the face. This made him grab at his face and that is when I went to kick him in the side of the head.

He was down and ready to get up when I went to go for him again. Just as he looked to the side to get himself up I ran straight at him and attacked knocking the wind out of him and bringing us both down. I grabbed his neck with one arm and cupped the other one so that I could put him in the sleeper hold. He stood up with my arms still firmly around his neck and my legs wrapped around his body for support. He started to jostle me around and tap on my arm. I wasn't going to let him go this easy. I waited until I felt the life leave him and slowly let him drop to the floor and laid him down.

At that instant I heard clapping in the distance and looked around to see my dad had been watching. I breathe out a sigh and grab my towel over by my chair. I wipe the sweat off my brow and around my neck and go back over to Nathan. I slap his cheek and get him back around to this world. With a jolt he stands up and looks around. I smile at him and just hold back the laugh I want to let out. I couldn't do it anymore when he gave me this puppy dog look. I belted out a good laugh and held my stomach until I heard a throat clear. crap. I turned to see both Warrior Ethan and my dad staring at me; along with everyone else.

I stood back and stopped laughing immediately.

"Sorry Warrior Ethan. It wont happen again."

"What wont Penelope?"

"Laughing and disrupting class."

"Oh, that? No your fine. Next time do it after class, but I thought you meant about making Nathan go to sleep."

"Pfft, no I am not sorry about that. That was fun. He wont live that one down for weeks."

Nathan grunts and rubs his neck looking back and forth at us. He has a bit of blood running down his nose and he is looking under his nails to avoid eye contact. I had just taken a strong male down. True, he wasn't an alpha, but he was someone who should of been stronger then me. He knew it and so did I. I know he must of been worried if that meant Warrior Ethan would make him leave, but this was only one out of multiple fights where he has beaten me.

"Penelope. I am proud of you. You took your instincts and your strength and finally got the better of him. I would assume in a real fight you would have killed the rogue. So I just want to say great job. I am thinking about progressing you to the next level if you continue to do this well. Please go hit the bags and weights for a few hours and head home for the night. Nathan. You stay here with the rest of us. "

With that I grabbed my dads hand and walked off to the weight room. He looked down at me with such love in him. He was proud of me. I knew it, but he didn't have to say it. I knew it. I was progressing faster then most she-wolves and I was finally showing my family that I wanted to do something more with my life then be a wife to another man and produce pups. At this rate I wasn't so sure I wanted my mate anymore. I was alive and happy while fighting and training. I loved to run and be free. Why had I spent so much time being with and following Devon and loving someone else instead of myself?

I gave my dad a hug as he handed me a lunch bag and left. I would miss dinner again for the umpteenth night and he always made a point to bring me my plate here. I headed over to the lockers and scarfed down what I had and then threw the bag away going back to the weight room. I started on the bag. Rotating my left with my right jab and upper cuts. I threw in some side kicks as well. I did this for well over an hour and then finally saw someone walk away from the bench press. I put about 200 pounds on the bar and laid down underneath. There was a guy near so I waved him over to help spot me. I did not want this coming down on me.

I pressed a few to many times and did some leg presses as well. I made sure to work as much as I could. I did crunches and push up along with pull ups. I worked my body sore and just as I was about to head to the lockers to get my stuff I saw the group coming out the green room and headed my way. The guys looked beat and ready for bed. But, so did I. That's when I spotted Nathan at the back and he looked up and met my eyes. I waited until he met me and gave him a smile.

"Sorry"

"Eh, its OK. You have some good moves. Id hate to fight you for real to the death."

"Well, thanks. Did I get you in trouble?"

"Only a little bit. But, this is a school to be the best of the best. I don't have a father with Warrior lineage. So it was always possible for you to beat me and every other guy in that room."

"You want me to go easy next time?"

"No, please don't. I wouldn't want you in trouble either."

"I'm sorry." Is all I could say again as he gave me a side hug and a sad smile and walked off. I knew that I had upset him by beating him. If I or someone else did it again there would be consequences for him. But, I crossed my fingers and hoped that next time he would beat someone and make another person leave. He was a great fighter and I think he wanted this as much as I did. I would hate to see him go. I watched as he walked into the boys locker rooms and realized to myself. I think I'll be okay.

A/N- sorry it took so long been a busy week! Sigh. ENjoy! Read, vote, comment. As always please just enjoy! - A
