The Advanced Mission

The Meeting

The next day, I woke up with way to much energy. I sat up and looked around the room. There was a flat screen t.v. hanging on the wall with a small kitchen to the left of the t.v. There was a table and chairs to the right of the t.v. with a large window above the table. I looked to my left and there, sound asleep, was Gideon. It was 1100 and very bright outside.

I hopped into the shower and when I came out, there was a note on the table. It read, "Hey Mitchell, just wanted to let you know that we have a meeting today at 1400. I'll see you at the meeting. -Gideon"

I went downstairs to the meeting right at 1400 and sat down at a table. As soon as everyone started gathering in the room, Cormack came in.

"Ok, we have all of the information that we need about Irons. We also found out that he is launching a dangerous virus into every military base except his own. His soldiers are immune to it but any other soldier who inhales the virus, instantly dies. We need to stop that launch!" Cormack yelled.

There was a young man sitting next to Cormack that looked very familiar. He had a tablet sitting right in front of him and was typing something on it.

"See the guy sitting next to Cormack." Gideon whispered.

I nodded.

"That's Knox. He is one of the technologists here."

"Cormack..." Knox said.

"What?" Cormack questioned.

"We have a problem. Irons' is launching Manticore in one day!"

"Shit! Ok, I want Gideon, Mitchell, and Ilona on the ground tomorrow at 900!" Cormack shouted, "This meeting is over. Go back to your bunks and rest, you have a long day ahead of you."

We all left the room and headed back to our bunks. I went to the cafeteria to get some dinner. After that I went up to my room.

When I went into the room, the lights were off and the t.v. was on. I looked to the right and Gideon was asleep on his bed. I then turned off the t.v. and got ready for bed. I tried going to sleep but I was to nervous about the mission tomorrow.
