My first day at Atlas wasn't that exciting. I just got my new prosthetic and got my new bunk. I didn't have a roomate, which I was very surprised. I didn't know anyone there but this is an opportunity for a second chance in life.

The next day, Irons told me that I'm going to do a simulation with some of my new teammates. I was kind of nervous because I didn't know what to expect.

"Copy that Charlie 2-1, Mitchell has arrived." said a man, "My name's Joker."

Joker is 25 years old and very athletic. He has brown hair with bright hazel brown eyes. He is also very funny and intelligent.

"I see you already know my name." I said.

"Yup."

"So, when do we start?"

"In a few minutes. That's Torres and Clark, they will be helping us."

As the sim started, the men were stocking up on ammo, grenades, and mute charges.

"We ready?" Joker asked.

All the men shook their heads.

"Alright, lets go!"

We started up the hill and noticed a house. Joker had said that our mission was to rescue the P.O.T.U.S.

"Let's close in on the kitchen!" Joker said while running into the splintered door.

The door to the living room was closed.

"Ok, Mitchell, I'm going to crack the door open, you throw a threat grenade and we'll take out the enemies through the wall." Joker whispered while opening the door slightly.

I threw a threat grenade and it showed the enemie's positions. I raised my gun, looked down the sights and pulled the trigger. I took out three enemies and Joker took out the other two.

"Not bad, move up!" he said.

We all ran in the door with our guns raised just in case of an ambush, but all we saw were the enemies that we had killed.

"Clear" Clark said.

"Ok, let's check the rooms down the hall!" Joker said.

All the rooms were clear, but we hadn't checked the room at the end of the hall. We all could hear people talking.

"Mitchell, plant a mute charge." Joker whispered.

I did as I was told. I sat the charge down and flipped the switch. I couldn't hear anything. I kicked open the door and took out an enemy with my knife. Joker and Torres got the other two.

"Mr.President, what is your..." Joker said.

I wasn't paying that much attention to Joker, I was checking the other areas of the room.

"Let's go!" Joker said.

We ran out of the house and immediately stopped. We were surrounded by enemies.

"They didn't notice us?" Clark questioned as we all took cover.

"No time for a personal helicopter, we need to get you out of here." Joker whispered.

"I'll call for evac." Torres said.

We fought off most of the surrounding enemies and we could see more coming but we needed to get the president out of that area. The truck for the presidents evac had arrived. I ran over to the truck and tried to open the door but I couldn't. I was pushed down and one of the enemies shot the president.

"Mitchell," said a man with a very rich British accent,

"You're a deadman." he pointed his gun at me.

"Reset!!" he yelled while taking off his beanie, "No trouble for equipment failure." he said while helping me up.

"Why are we reseting?" Irons asked while walking in.

"It's his arm, couldn't get the door open."

"That arm is worth more to me than this whole facility, how's my boy doing?"

"Did a great job, except for opening the door."

"Well hop in, I'll give you a tour of Atlas."

I jumped in the jeep and the man with the beanie sat right next to me.

"Name's Gideon." he said.

"Well, you already know my name." I said shaking his gloved hand.

Gideon is 29 years old and he is also very athletic. He has blond and black hair with the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen. He is usually very grumpy but every now and then he will smile. And he is very short, he's 5'9".

As we started driving off, Irons started explaining the whole facility to me. We stopped at a building, Gideon and I hopped out.

"Mitchell," Irons said, "I know you're not in this for the money. You remind me a lot of Will that way. Now go get that arm fixed."

Gideon and I went inside and I saw a bunch of people trying out different types of exos. I went into a room with two doctors waiting for me.

"Mitchell, please, have a seat." one doctor said.

I went over to the chair in the middle of the room that was hooked up to a couple machines. The other doctor came over and hooked some wires up to my prosthetic and started messing with some settings.

"This is the highest sensitivity." he said.
I moved my hand.

"Is that good enough?"

"Yes sir." I said.

As I left the room, Gideon was waiting for me.

"Ok, we're gonna do another run of the stimulator, don't screw up this time." he said.

"I'll try not to." I said.

"Yeah, you better."

We went and started the sim. and I actually did pretty good. Irons accepted me into Atlas!
