Irons' deserves to Die!

The next day, I woke woke up at 0713 and was wide awake. I was ready for this mission. I had geared up and went downstairs to get breakfest. Gideon then came over to where I was sitting and sat right next to me with a cup of coffee.

"Is that enough food you got there?" Gideon asked with a smile.

"It's not that much!" I said.

I couldn't lie though, I did eat like a pig. I had three huge plates in front of me covered with food.

"Yeah, whatever. Um... Are, we, you know, gonna talk about the other night?" he asked as he took a drink of his coffee.

"Um... honestly, I don't even remember what happened. The only thing I remember was that you kissed me and then you came towards me and I felt like I blacked out after that." I said.

I could feel my face turning red and I tried to hide it when I took a drink of my water.

"Yeah, me too. After I started walking towards you, I felt like I blacked out." he said, "But, are we like, together now?"

I almost spit out my water when he asked me that question. I started coughing really bad and he patted my back.

"You ok private?" he asked.

I cleared my throat, "Yeah..."

"But are we a 'couple' now?"

"If you want us to be a couple, then that's fine with me."

"Really?"

"Yes, really."

"Well, I never thought I would get this far." Gideon said.

He was trying so hard to hide his face. Honestly, I was still blushing but I didn't care anymore.

"I don't think we should be telling everyone that we're together. Just not yet." I said.

"Ok." he said.

I then looked up and saw Ilona coming towards the table with two plates filled with food.

"Hello." she said.

"Hi" I said.

"So, are you ready for today's mission?" she asked while taking a bite of pancakes.

"I am." I said cheerfully.

"Yeah, I am too." Gideon said while he looked at me.

"We need to hurry. Remember, Cormack want's us on the ground at 0900."

"Where at?" Ilona asked.

"He told me at Atlas' front door."

"So, we are going to stop the launch and then kill Irons'?" I asked.

"I guess so." Gideon said.

When I was finished eating, I went to the shooting range to get a feel for my gun. When I was finished, it was time to start the mission.

I hopped into my black jet that said 'Sentinel' on the wings and put on the headset. I started the engine and it roared to life. Gideon, Ilona, Knox, Cormack and I were all lined up ready to go. As soon as we took off, Cormack went over the plan.

"Ok, listen up, you guys are going to pilot your jets to Atlas in Baghdad, Iraq. After you land, Gideon and Mitchell will go straight to the launcher and destroy it. Ilona and I will follow and help fight off the enemies. Knox will get the evac when we are finished. Alright! Let's Go!!"

It took us about thirty minutes to get to Baghdad, but as soon as we had eyes on the base, the enemy started firing RPGs at the jets.

"We have to land somewhere!" Ilona yelled into the com.
