Chapter 4

Layla Cortdale

"Our principle is your mate?!" Screamed Nicole and Kingsley together

"Shut up! Everyone will hear you!" I whisper-yelled back

"Sorry" they both said

"Ughh its fine, but what am I supposed to do? My wolf is obsessed with him."

Currently, I am sitting in Subway with Kingsley and Nicole, telling them about my situation. We were skipping the last two periods we have.

'Im not obsessed, I'm in love' my wolf said

' you cant be love with him'

'Your right, I'm not in love with him, you are too'

'Shut up, no I'm not'

'Yes you are, just admit it, the kiss was amazing and you want more'

'I dont want to waste my time arguing with you, bye'

'But-'

Before my wolf could say anything else, I cut the connection off with her.

"Did you just talk with your wolf?" Asked Kingsley

"Yeah, and shes obsessed, what am I gonna do, I think I'll talk to my mom"

"I think thats a good idea, your mom will know what to do" said Nicole while looking at her ring that her grandmother gave her

"Yeah and let me tell you, your one lucky bitch" said Kingsley

"Mmhmm" agreed Nicole

I just rolled my eyes, smirked and went to my car, driving home.

"Mom, where are you?" I called out as I stepped in the front door

"Layla"

"Hi Dad, umm where's mom?"

"Shes out, but I need you to get ready, the alpha king called out for an emergency meeting"

"Okay, is mom coming with us?"

"No, shes gonna stay here with your uncle Rick and aunt Vanessa, they will watch the pack while we're gone and we'll leave in 45 minutes"

I nodded and headed upstairs, I guess the mate talk with mom has to wait until later. As I walked in my room, I took out my phone and saw it was 1:40, that means school was over, I mind-linked my coach, telling him I wont be able to go to practice today. While I was checking my texts, I saw 17 unknown number, it recently came, I clicked on one of them and it read:

Unknown: Baby, I forgot to tell you, my name is Xavier

Xavier, thats so hot....holy macaroni, I did it again, I thought about my principal inappropriately, I have to stop!

'No you don't, he's meant for us' my wolf stated

'But don't you want to explore the world, meet new people, do something unexpected everyday?' I asked

'Yes, I want to do all those things but, I want us to do it with him'

'But he will just hold us back, he's so possessive'

'But his possessiveness is a major turn on for us'

'Okay, fine it is, but I want to talk to mom about this'

'Fine, but please just give him a chance'

'We don't even know him well enough to give him a chance'

Now that I thought about it, who is my mysterious mate?, he is my principal, but he's not apart of my pack, and I have never seen him before, I knew he was new to our school, and he didn't even look or smell like a rouge, who was my handsome mate?

'He's our angel' my wolf stated dreamily

'Your a weirdo'

'But you love me'

'Yes, yes I do'

'I know, who wouldn't' my wolf said cockily

'I lied, I don't love you'

'Grrrrrrrrrr'

I chuckled and cut the connection off, I looked through the other text messages and it all said the same thing, 'I love you' or 'your my beautiful mate', it warmed my heart. I started walking to the shower and started washing my body, I put some sweet pea shower gel on my loofah and started scrubbing my body. After 20 minutes of washing, shaving and rinsing, I turned my water off and stepped out of my shower and headed to my closet. I wanted to wear a dress, but which one? After 10 minutes of standing there and decides to go with a medium length black dress that fits my body in the right places and brings out my curves, I also wore an owl necklace with a gold and silver bracelets with a big coral ring, I grabbed my black peep toe pumps. I put my auburn hair into lose soft waves and did a cat liner on my eyes and a dab of lip gloss on my lips and put an orangeish/tannish leather jacket and headed downstairs.

"Are you ready, Layla" asked dad

"Yes, I am"

"Okay let's go"

We got in the car, dad driving and me on the passenger seat. For some strange reason, I have felt a sense of uneasiness coming from dad

"Dad are you alright" I asked

"Um yeah I'm fine, why do you ask"

"No reason" I told dad smoothly and smiled

The ride was silent, but I could feel some tension from dad.

"Dad, whats the meeting about"

"The alpha king is stepping down and handing his title to his nephew, his nephew found his mate"

"Oh sounds awesome"

I actually didn't like the alpha king, he is cold and ruthless, I bet his nephew is ten times worse, this day isn't turning out the way I wanted it too.

"How was school?" my dad asked

"Great"

"I heard you got sent to the principle"

I froze and went rigid, and then I remembered something, I disobeyed Xavier, and now I'm gonna be punished, Shit!

Okay so this isn't my favorite chapter, but I hope you guys like it, the next update will be sometimes in 2 weeks and i know I said that Xavier's P.O.V Is gonna be in chapter 5, well I want I hold off on that until chapter 6 because i have to write something in Leila's P.O.V before i put Xavier's P.O.V, but thank too all for being awesome, I love you all ❤😘
