I am here now
As you drag yourself to school
Head lowered
In a black hoodie
With the hood up
Washed out jeans
And beat up converse.
Christina Perri playing
Full blast in your headphones.

I watch as you sit in chemistry
Dull gray eyes cast to the floor.
I watch as a new girl
Walks in
Anxiety rolling off her in waves.
I must admit she is beautiful
Light brown hair
In waves just past her shoulders
Warm honey eyes
Cheeks slightly flushed
From the stares.

Her eyes land on you
In your little dark corner
And as if you can feel her gaze
You look up too.
I watch as your gazes meet
And her eyes widen.

I feel a pang in my heart
As i realize what is happening
I feel it blossoming
And know the symptoms all too well
It is the beginnings
Of love.

I watch as the teacher
Points to the empty seat
Beside you.
I watch as she shyly walks over.
I watch as you
Attempt to hide your staring
But are caught.
I hear your heart begin to race
As she smiles softly.
