disclaimer;
if there is any similarities to the book or movie, that's probably because that's where I got it from. James Dashner owns everyone except Evelyn, Felix, and a couple others.

"Now we are going to begin removing The Swipe, so please line up," Rat Man said quickly, motioning behind himself to an operating chair with a mask hanging over it.
"I'm sold," Minho snipped from beside me and I couldn't help but agree.
"What if we don't want our memories back?" Thomas asked and Rat Man raised an eyebrow.
"I still don't understand why not, but I guess if you don't want to, please go stand over there," Rat Man replied coldly, pointing to the other side of the room.
I immediately began moving along with Newt, Thomas, Felix, and Minho, who sent me a quick look. A short man walked up to us and grunted before turning to Rat Man, who nodded.
"Follow my colleague here to where I'll be keeping you," Rat Man said dismissively.
I rolled my eyes but slipped back by Newt. His hand found mine on instinct and we led each other after the others. As we were walking, if I happened to drift two centimeters away from Newt, he tug me right back into place. I couldn't help but laugh at him, momentarily forgetting my lover's fate.
"You have to be close to me or else I feel angry," he whispered and I squeezed his hand.
"I'm not about to leave your side," I whispered back.
He smiled slightly before leading me into the room where the other three boys were. The man sent us glare before shutting the door and leaving us in silence.
"I don't trust them," Felix spoke up after a moment of silence.
"Agreed," I muttered. "If these bastards think I'm going to let them tamper with my brain anymore, they're wrong."
"I can't believe our shuck friends," Minho growled.
"If they want to have their buggin' memories back, fine. But those bloody Slintheads aren't touching me," Newt snapped and I placed my hand on his back, seemily calming him immediately.
I looked at Minho, who was giving Felix an uneasy look. Felix glanced at Minho and shot him a confused look, causing Minho to raise an eyebrow and jut his head back subtlety at me and Newt. I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Well, I say we just sit back and wait to see what happens," Thomas mumbled and I nodded.
"I'll take from experience that laying low for awhile may be the best solution," Felix agreed.
We all agreed and took a seat on the ground. I rested my head on Newt's shoulder, feeling his head rest on top of mine. I smiled slightly, wishing we could stay like this forever.
You make him happy even in the darkest times.
I opened my eyes and looked at Thomas, small smile on his face.
I don't know how the hell I'm supposed to live if he dies, Thomas.
Maybe he doesn't have to.
I gave him a look of confusion before we were interpreted by a loud, fast knocking at the door. The door burst open and Rat Man stood in the doorway with two guards next to him.
"Change of plans. Everyone gets their memory back, whether you like it or not. And, Evelyn is first on my list," He said stiffly before the two guards rushed in.
