if there is any similarities to the book or movie, that's probably because that's where I got it from. James Dashner owns everyone except Evelyn, Felix, and a couple others.

Newt

"Evie!" Newt shouted as he pounded against the door. "Evie?"

The door flung open but instead of Evelyn stood her sister, Teresa. Teresa's face was pulled into a frown and her hair was slightly damp.

"She's not here at the moment," she said lowly. "She had some business to take care of with the Paiges. I'm not sure when she'll be back."

The young blonde boy sucked in a breath, holding back tears that threatened to fall.

"Fine. Just tell her to come bloody find me," He snapped, turning on his heel and stalking away.

Newt turned into his room and shoved open the door, slamming it roughly behind him. He ran his hands through his hair, breath shaking. He let out a stangled sob and fell to his knees. His shoulders shook with the silent sobs that racked through his body. He curled into a ball and buried his face in his knees, hoping to keep himself quiet.

A few moments later, the door opened. As soon as Newt heard it, he was being helped up to his knees and he was wrapped in his best friends arms. Just her small arms wrapped around him calmed him a little.

"What happened?" She breathed out.

He took a deep breath and pulled away, looking at her with a heartbroken expression. She placed her small hand on his face and he felt his heart race. He placed his hand on hers, eyes leaving hers.

"Newt," she said gently, swiping her thumb across his cheekbone.

He sighed and took another breath.

"Evie," he choked out.

He sucked in another breath and she gave him a heartbroken look. She grabbed his hand and held it tightly, seemily giving him the strength he needed to keep himself together.

"I'm not immune."

My eyes snapped open and I could feel my heart beat slow as I looked down at the sleeping girl on my shoulder. She was the only thing keeping me sane anymore. Everyday I was getting angrier and more aggressive and she was the only thing that kept my levels low. I hated thinking that in a short while, we wouldn't be together. I looked down again at her and ran my fingers gently through her hair. She let out a small moan and I felt a familiar sensation flow through my body.

"I love you," I whispered.

"Alright, muchachos, landing time," Jorge shouted, causing Evie to stir.

Her eyes fluttered open and she looked at me with wide eyes before calming slightly and entwined our fingers. She pulled me up and moved over to wake up Felix and Minho. Felix and Minho stood up, latching themselves into the seats. Evie pulled me down next to Minho and squeezed my hand tightly as the Berg dipped lower. We stayed like that until the Berg had touched down and the dread began to fill my stomach.

Evie and I wouldn't be together in a little under ten minutes and that thought scared me more than death right now.

"Alright," Jorge began. "I landed in the city where there isn't as much security."
