disclaimer;

if there is any similarities to the book or movie, that's probably because that's where I got it from. James Dashner owns everyone except Evelyn, Felix, and a couple others.

Evelyn awoke with a jolt, her eyes scanning the room around her. She sat in an all white room on a bed that resembled something from WICKED. She noticed different tubes and needles sticking from her arm and she frowned, yanking a few out before moving from the bed to the door. Her fingers wrapped around the doorknob, growling when she found it had been locked. She turned over her right shoulder and glanced around the room, trying to find something - anything that could help her escape, but found nothing.

However, the now blank walls had been replaced with glass that exposed a room beside her own. She moved slowly to it, cautiously inching forward. Once she had approached the glass, she pressed her hand against it peering through the glass to find Gally on the other end. She furrowed her eyebrows together but stayed silent, watching the boy sleep peacefully. Her ehes wandered around his space, finding it was identical to her own. Evelyn's eyes moved from his hospital type gown to her own, confused as to where they were.

Suddenly his body flew straight up, eyes wide open, piercing her body. She eyed him carefully as he moved mechanically from his bed and over to the window to her, steps cautious and clumsy. He too placed his hand on the window on top of hers, large fingers rising above her own. She watched him intensely, worried about his behavior. His eyes snapped to hers, but they showed no sign of harm. Gally looked at her like he always had. His eyes moved to their hands, then back to her before realization crossed his face.

"Evelyn!" He shouted. His voice was muffled and low, but she could still make it out.

His fists began to bang on the glass until it surprisingly cracked. She took a few steps back until the glass caved in and his large body collapsed into her room. She moved swiftly over to him, hands searching for any sign of danger, but found none. His hand grasped hers harshly and tugged her to the ground beside him, causing her to yelp in pain as she landed on the broken shards of glass. His fingers wrapped around her neck immediately, giving her no time to fight back.

"Gally!" She pleaded, but her voice betrayed her.

His forest eyes were full of rage and an unknown look that sent chills up Evelyn's spine. His fingers continued to choke her until she felt her world drift into darkness...

I bolted awake, heart pounding rapidly in my chest as I relived the nightmare in my head. I wiped the few beads if cold sweat from my forehead before turning beside me to look at Gally, who in no way would try and hurt me now. I placed a shaking hand on his cheek, which seemed to calm me drastically before I laid back down, drifting into an uneasy sleep.

GALLY'S POV

I awoke the next morning with Evelyn's back to me, her hair a tangled mess. I sat up and looked over at her and Minho, who had his hand resting on her hip. I felt a jealous flare rise up in me but I ignored it, knowing she would have punched him if she had been awake. My eyes floated to Felix, who lay next to Minho, eyes wide open watching Evelyn.

"You too, Shuckface?" I asked roughly, scaring him slightly.

"Minho doesn't feel that way," he mumbled, shifting so his weight was on his elbow. "Knew he never had a chance."

"Which I could tell myself that," I muttered.

Felix nodded in agreement and I suddenly felt bad for the kid. He had been pulled into WICKED a week after they had taken Newt away from her in hopes Evelyn would heal and continue their dirty work. He had been used up until the last day I could remember at WICKED, always right beside her, making sure she was stable and okay. But no matter how much he tried, he could never be Newt. Felix could never love Evelyn the way Newt had. And Felix hated him for it.
