Slowly waking up, Dr. Spencer Reid moaned in pain that he had felt. He had a migraine and his eyes hurt which meant he was hit over the head. The last thing he remembered was saying goodbye to his teammates and going to his car to head home.
But here he sat, chained to a chair and trying to figure out where he was. Straining his hazel eyes, he looked around the dark room and tried to find anything that looked familiar but failing.
Hearing footsteps, Reid tried to break free but he couldn't so he called out. "Who's there?" Hearing a soft chuckle, a tall man came into the room wearing a mask over his face.
"The very important Dr. Spencer Reid wants to know who I am.." The man had a foreign accent, middle eastern it sounded like to Reid's ears. "But I can not tell you. No you are here as a lesson, one an agent needs to learn." Walking closer, he had a needle in his hand, Reid's eyes got bigger and he shook his head. "Please no!" The captor patted his head as he stuck the needle in his arm. "Sleep Doctor, your time isn't here yet." Reid tried his best to fight the effects of the drugs but he couldn't and fell into a deep sleep.
Meanwhile, a letter gets delivered for Special Agent Derek Morgan at the office. It reads...
If I were you, I would watch the clues carefully, I have something important to you and you have 26 hours to save him and get the antidote or else the precious doctor will be no more.
The day started just as any other day for SSA. Derek Morgan. He got up, got dressed, ate, and went to work. The same as yesterday and the day before. He had no reason to believe that today would be any different.
Walking into his desk he sat down going over the be files that had be placed there. As he was rummaging thru the papers he found an envelope addressed to him. He slowly opened it reading the note inside. He jumped up running to Hotch's office and handed him the paper. "Did anyone see who put this on my desk?" His words were rushed. He only had 26 hours to save someone. But who? Then it hit him like a ton of bricks. Reid. "Any one seen Reid this morning?"
"Not since last night. He was heading home. Get Prientiss and Gideon. We leave now."
Morgan ran gathering every one filling them in on what happened or at least what he thought happened. He pulled out his phone calling Garcia. "Hey baby girl, I need a trace on Reid's cell. We think he's been abducted."
Slowly waking up, his vision was blurry, his shaggy brown hair was in his face from him sweating. Trying to focus on what was going on, he shook his head but hissed when he felt pain. "I would be careful Doctor, the drug I gave you has more than just drowsy as a side effect. We need you succumbed until we are ready."
Clearing his throat, he licked his dry lips and closed his eyes to stop the dizziness. "What for?" Was all he managed to get out but the captor understood. "Your debut, you are going to bring someone close to you to the brink of madness." Leaving the man in the room, the captor went to finish some of his plans.
At the same moment, a text came to Morgan's phone..
I see you know what piece is missing. But can you save him from the madness within?
Once that was sent, a picture of Reid was sent to Garcia's computer. It was him chained to a chair and clearly drugged with a gag in his mouth. He looked like he was beaten and in pain.
With Reid's cell smashed on the floor of his apartment, there was no way to trace his whereabouts. Right now all the agents could do was follow the clues.
Hotchner's cell buzzed in his pocket, pulling it out, he read the text out loud.
The good doctor is mine, until someone realizes how much he means. You have 25 hours, he will weaken every hour until he can be found. The desk of the good agent holds the first clue.
