I have never thought something could happen to someone so sweet like Christine. As I watch her breath through some wires and pumps. I wondered why this all happened to her. I haven't left her hospital bed in three days and she still isn't responding to the medicine the doctors gave her. I sat down and watched as they tried to give her the liquid again. As I watched the liquid go in her I saw her go in shock for the hundred time. I grabbed her hand and squeezed it. The doctors ejected something and she stopped shaking and her heart beat on the monitor slowed down. I watched as she rejected again. Why couldn't it have been me? Why did this happen to her? And when I find out who did this to her they are dead! I closed my eyes and send a little prayer for my love and when I opened my eyes Chris was standing on the other side of the bed looking at his sister. He sat down and grabbed her other hand. I decided that I would give them some time. I got up and walked out the door. I walked around the corner and went to the cafeteria in the hospital. I got coffee with some sugar and cream. Damn. When will she wake up? Is this my fault, I mean if it wasn't for me playing that joke on her she would still be with me now. I walked to the waiting room and sat down and dank my coffee. I looked up at the ceiling and wondered why it couldn't have been me. I closed my eyes and thought some more. If it wasn't for the sound of a door I wouldn't have got out of my train of thought. "How are you holding up?" I asked Chris as I looked at the way he looks right now. His black hair is everywhere like he just woke up and he has red blood-shoot eyes and his clothes are the same from when he found his sister in the bathroom, wrinkled and tucked in the back and untucked in the front. He looked really dead. "I'm alright I guess. I just want her to be ok and be with us." He said and sat down next to me in the other chair. "Where are your parents?" I asked as I looked around. "My mom is trying to come back from Chicago. She was suppose to stay home cause she wasn't feeling good but she left cause it was her job as a flight attendant to travel. And my dad is in Italy and it is going to take time for him to get here since the next flight is tomorrow." He said and put his head in his hands. We sat there in silence till we herd the beeping noise go off in Christie's room. I got up and rushed to her room and saw her shaking uncontrollably. I pushed the button for the doctor and tried to sooth her. "It's alright baby I'm here." I said. I brushed my hands through her hair and kissed her forehead.

I woke up laying in the hospital bed next to Christie holding her. I kissed her temple and wiped strains of hair from her forehead and got up. I looked over to the couch and saw Chris awake. "You couldn't sleep?" I asked as I looked at him. "No. I've been up waiting for her to wake up." He said. I looked at Christie. "Why dont you go to my house and get some clothes for Christie. You know in case she wakes up." Chris said as he watched his little sister. "Ok." I said. He passed me his keys for the house and walked over to his sister. I kissed her forehead and left.
