I decided that me and Roxie should spend a little time alone before we left the mall. So I grabbed her hand and lead her to an ice cream shop.

"Do you want some ice cream?" I asked her as I walked up to the register.

"Yes I love ice cream!" She said all cheerful.

"Okay, what kind do you want?" I asked her with a smile on my face.

"I want a vanilla swirl with sprinkles and a cherry on top please." She said and looked at me with her cute dark brown eyes.

"Okay. Can I get a vanilla swirl with sprinkles and a cherry on top and an vanilla and chocolate swirl with sprinkles." I told the guy behind the register.

"Okay, that will be fifteen dollars and twenty-five cents." he said. I pulled out my wallet and gave him a twenty.

"Keep the change." I said and got the ice cream from him. Giving Roxie hers.

"Thank you and come again." He said as we left.

Me and Roxie walked around and then decided to sit since we couldn't walk in to the stores with the ice cream.

"So Roxie tell me something about you." I said as I lick my ice cream.

"Ummm..." She says as she swallows the ice cream in her mouth. "I have a sister and two brothers. Julie and Christy are my best friends and they are like my other sisters. My dad is a lawyer and my mom is an nurse. And ya." Roxie said and licked her ice cream.

I looked at her.

"Thats cool so how come I never met your brothers and sister?" I asked curiously.

"Oh they are at my aunt's house." She said licking her ice cream.

"Oh and you decided to stay home for the summer?" I asked while I watched her eat her ice cream.

"Ya so I can be with Julie, Christy and James." She said while finishing off her ice cream.

"Me?" I asked confused.

"No my other friend James he goes to my school. I told him I would hang out with him some time." She said and looked at me. "Can we walk around some more?" She asked me as she got up.

"Sure so when are you gonna hang out with James? I'd like to meet him." I said as we walked away.

"I don't-" She didn't get to finish her sentence since her phone rang.

"Hello?" She said when she answered her phone.

"Yes. No I'm with James. Ya. Okay we're on our way. Okay bye." She said laughing at the last part and hanging up.

"So where are we going?" I asked wondering where she had planed.

"We're going out." She said and giggled as she dragged me to the exit of the mall.
